BOARDMAN
Oct. 13
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Westport Drive reported a $2,000 IBM ThinkPad device and case missing from his residence.
Theft: Twenty candy bars were stolen from the Dollar General store, 271 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: A 42-year-old man was arrested at his Oles Avenue residence on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of cocaine.
Theft: Police arrested a 20-year-old Bristolville man on a theft charge after two shirts were stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft by deception: An employee at Subway in the Southern Park Mall reported a man in his late 20s shortchanged him $30.
Theft: Someone took a hand-carved pumpkin from Boardman Township Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from her car while she was at a Shell gas station, 998 E. Western Reserve Road.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 100 block of Shields Road and took $1,000 and a checkbook.
Theft: A rear license plate was missing or stolen from a vehicle parked at Perkins Family Restaurant, 804 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old Boardman man on a theft charge after a $200 drill was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A 14-year-old Boardman boy was charged with theft after a box of razors, a can of soda, a pack of cigarettes, five bandannas and three party toys were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Forgery: Someone tried to cash a counterfeit $456 check, with a forged signature, in the drive-through at National City Bank, 7401 Market St.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to break into a Rich gas station, 5823 South Ave., and damaged a piece of metal siding and a door frame.
Oct. 15
Arrest: A 24-year-old Warren man was arrested in Warren on three counts of violating a protection order after a South Avenue woman reported being a victim.
Arrest: Police arrested a 15-year-old boy at his Arden Boulevard residence on a charge of being an unruly juvenile after a woman reported a family member ran away and failed to return.
Theft: A man in the 4700 block of Euclid Boulevard reported his car broken into and an in-dash compact-disc player, a palm pilot and a cellular phone taken.
Forgery: A woman discovered a $200 stolen business check was cashed at Home Savings and Loan, 4005 Hillman Way.
Theft: Police charged a 35-year-old Youngstown man with theft after a pack of cheese and two packs of pepperoni were stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An employee at Boardman Community Care Center, 5665 South Ave., discovered six to 10 Vicodin tablets were stolen from a cart.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Aravesta Avenue woman reported lending her 1995 Geo Metro to someone and that the vehicle was never returned.
Theft: A woman in the 3100 block of Straley Lane reported two pairs of shoes were removed from a hallway in her apartment building.

Theft: An employee at Classic Bakery Inc., 7135 Tiffany Blvd., discovered one day's worth of cash and receipts missing.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 4000 block of Hudson Drive noticed a BB hole in a storm window at her residence.
Theft: Police arrested a 41-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of theft and receiving stolen property after seven clothing items were stolen from Dilliard's and three garments were taken from the J.C. Penney store, both in the Southern Park Mall.
Bad check: A man reportedly wrote a $795.55 bad check at Contemporary Furniture Showcase, 5930 Market St.
Theft: Someone stole $620 from Youngstown Gymnastics Center Inc., 5500 Market St.
Criminal damage: Someone used a BB gun to shoot at and break a window to a residence in the 30 block of Overhill Drive.
Theft: A Youngstown girl, 16, was charged with theft after six bottles of weight loss pills were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen while she shopped at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A woman reported her purse and two cellular phones stolen while she was in the 1200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An Austintown woman reported her purse taken while she used a restroom at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged a 16-year-old Youngstown boy with theft after a bottle of cologne was stolen from Kaufmann's.
Robbery: Police arrested a 46-year-old Salem man in Salem on a robbery charge after an undetermined number of packs of cigarettes was stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Criminal damage: A man, 38, reportedly damaged two tires on a vehicle parked at Cinemark Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported a black bag and other bowling equipment stolen from the trunk of his car parked at Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive.
Theft: A license plate and bracket were stolen off a car parked at Cinema South Inc., 7420 South Ave.
Theft: An Ohio license plate was missing from a vehicle in the 8000 block of Market Street.
Recovered property: A 1997 Ford Econoline work van was recovered after a Sierra Madre Trail man reported it was used without authorization.
Theft: A man reported a three-sided magnetic sign was missing from a parking lot in the 8100 block of Market Street.
Oct. 18
Arrest: An Arden Boulevard boy, 15, was arrested at his residence on a charge of being an unruly juvenile.
Domestic violence: A 54-year-old man was arrested at his Red Fox Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge after a woman at the home reported being a victim.
Arrest: Police arrested a 45-year-old Boardman man near Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
Stolen property: A 36-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after four boys jackets, worth a total of $152, were stolen from Dilliard's and later recovered.
Theft: A man in the 600 block of Cathy Ann Drive alleged a woman in her 60s took $1,000 from a basement closet.
Theft: A woman in her late teens reportedly took a $49 pair of tennis shoes from Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 400 block of Oakridge Drive reported $200 in lawn damage to his front yard. Also, police discovered similar damage to another front yard in the same area.
Theft: A J.C. Penney employee reported a wallet removed from her purse that was in an office area.
Theft: An AM-FM CD player and 145 CDs were missing from a vehicle parked at Kids Town in the Southern Park Mall.
Assault: A Boardman boy reported being assaulted in a driveway at a residence in the 700 block of Golfview Drive.
Arrests: Police arrested two Boardman boys, both 15, at a Pinehill Drive residence on charges of underage possession of alcohol and curfew violations.
Oct. 19
Criminal damage: A man in the 1300 block of Windel Way reported $50 in damage to his mailbox, and another man reported his mailbox was dented.
Criminal mischief: A mailbox in the 5700 block of Lockwood Boulevard was damaged.
Criminal damage: A woman reported someone cut two of her car's tires in the St. Charles Church parking lot, 7345 Westview Drive.
Auto theft: A 1988 Olds Regency was stolen from the Cinemark Movies 8 parking lot.
Criminal damage: An employee at Sapphire Auto Sales, 725 E. Midlothian Blvd., reported a juvenile raking leaves nearby threw rocks and broke a vehicle's passenger-side window and placed a dent in the car, causing about $300 in damage.
Theft: Someone stole two wooden football helmets, used as lawn ornaments, from a front yard in the 600 block of Angiline Drive.
Attempted burglary: A woman in the 300 block of Afton Avenue reported $200 in damage to an inside door handle after someone tried to break into her residence.
Attempted burglary: A woman in the 1400 block of Turnberry Drive reported someone tried to break into her residence.
POLAND
Oct. 15
Drugs: After conducting a traffic stop on state Route 170, police arrested an 18-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on a drug abuse charge. Officers say they found a small white bag of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe.
Oct. 16
Arrest: After his vehicle was stopped on state Route 170 for having a cracked windshield, a 47-year-old Bristolville man was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing. Police say he was acting in a threatening manner.
Oct. 19
Vandalism: A man in the 300 block of North Main Street reported tire damage to his lawn.
Possible burglary: A woman in the 10 block of Massachusetts Avenue reported coming home and finding a door to her residence open and an upstairs light on.
