It's going to be a Hollywood Halloween this year

NEW YORK (AP) -- Hollywood is coming to Main Street for Halloween this year, according to a new survey on costumes.
A lot of boys plan to don green body paint and shred their pants, according to an unscientific poll of 2,900 customers conducted by extremehalloween.com. Buoyed by the success of the hit summer movie "Hulk," 30.9 of boys in the survey say they plan to dress like Bruce Banner's angry alter ego.
Besides the Hulk, the other top picks for boys are characters from two 2002 blockbusters: Harry Potter, picked by 26.2 percent, and Spider-Man, picked by 25.8 percent.
For girls
Among girls, big blond wigs and loads of pink glitter seem to be the look of choice this year with Barbie picked as the most popular costume. The curvy icon was picked by 27.1 percent of girls, with Disney film characters taking the other two top spots. Tinkerbelle was chosen by 23.3 percent and Sleeping Beauty was chosen by 22.1 percent of girls.
For babies, parents seem to be sticking with traditional choices. Big, round, adorable baby pumpkins will be the most popular costumes this year, with M & amp;M, dalmatian, clown and "super baby" costumes rounding out the top five.
Ideas
Savers and Value Village thrift stores recommend these "creatively cheap" costume ideas:
USmarty pants. Glue Smarties candies onto an old pair of jeans and top off the look with "librarian" glasses.
USpeed bump. Take a yellow sweat suit and roll a spare tire coated in black paint over the chest and knees to create tire treads.
UHeisman trophy. Apply gold spray paint to an old football jersey, shoes and helmet as well as leggings cut off below the knee. Use gold face paint on exposed skin to complete the trophy effect.
