Mooney's Katie Dick is 5th; Morrow 10th



COLUMBUS -- Cardinal Mooney High golfer Katie Dick finished fifth in the state and Boardman's Tim Morrow ended up 10th for boys Division I as the Ohio state golf tournament concluded Saturday at Ohio State University.
Dick, who was named first team all state, shot a 75 Saturday to finish the two-day event with 153, four strokes behind state champion Carly Truitt of Marysville and runner-up Emma Jandel of Dayton Oakwood.
Felicia Ciotola of Canfield, the only other area girl competing, shot an 88 for a two-day total of 179.
Among the teams competing, Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame won the event with 658, 23 strokes better than Cincinnati Ursuline.
Morrow shot a 75 Saturday for a two-day total of 156, 11 strokes behind state champion Ryan Gutowski of Copley
Copley won the boys Div. I team event with 627, eight strokes better than Dublin Scioto.
The boys tournament was played on the 7,141-yard, par-72 Scarlet Course while the girls tournament was played on the 6,020-yard, par-70 Gray course.
