KENT -- Dan Orlovsky threw for his third touchdown on a 14-yard pass to O'Neil Wilson in overtime, giving Connecticut a 34-31 win over Kent State on Saturday.
Chris Bellamy ran for 212 yards and a touchdown for the Huskies (5-3). Orlovsky completed 28-of-51 passes for 293 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
Connecticut tied the score 28-all with 1:51 remaining in regulation when Orlovsky threw a 17-yard TD pass to Shaun Feldeisen and tossed a two-point conversion to Keron Henry.
The Golden Flashes (3-5) had the first possession in overtime but couldn't get a first down. Travis Mayle kicked a 39-yard field goal to give Kent State a 31-28 lead.
Orlovsky found Henry for a 13-yard gain on third-and-11. After Orlovsky threw an incompletion and Bellamy lost a yard on a run, Orlovsky hit Wilson for the winning score.
N. Illinois 37, W. Michigan 10
DEKALB, Ill. -- Michael Turner ran for 173 yards and Josh Haldi threw three touchdown passes as No. 12 Northern Illinois remained undefeated.
P.J. Fleck had 10 catches for 103 yards receiving, and Haldi finished 19-of-27 for 276 yards with no interceptions as Northern Illinois (7-0, 3-0 Mid-American Conference)remained one of five unbeaten teams.
Western Michigan (3-4, 2-2) quarterback Chad Munson was 16-of-31 for 216 yards.
Toledo 31, Central Michigan 13
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Toledo's Astin Martin ran for 101 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns.
The Rockets (5-2, 3-0 MAC) ran 98 offensive plays and rolled up 643 yards on Central (2-5, 0-4).
Trinity Dawson gained 165 yards on 26 carries as the Rockets ran for 422 yards and passed for 221 more. Lance Moore caught 13 catches for 105 yards to lead the Toledo passing attack.
Miami 49, Ball State 3
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ben Roethlisberger threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns to lead Miami.
Miami (6-1, 3-0 MAC) took early command of the game when John Busing scored a TD off a 65-yard interception return just minutes into the first quarter.
Talmadge Hill threw for 147 yards for Ball State (3-4, 2-1), but the Cardinals' only score was a 27-yard field goal by Brian Jackson.
Marshall 26, Buffalo 16
AMHERST, N.Y. -- Earl Charles' second touchdown run with 5:06 to play put a stop to Buffalo's comeback attempt.
After Marshall receiver Darius Watts beat one-on-one coverage for a 24-yard reception down to the Buffalo 6, Charles scampered in on the next play.
Charles, who also scored from 3 yards out in the second quarter, finished with 112 yards rushing on 23 carries.
Bowling Green 33, E. Michigan 20
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Josh Harris had 283 total yards and three rushing touchdowns for Bowling Green, and P.J. Pope ran for 122 yards on 22 carries as the Falcons (6-1, 3-0 MAC) had 492 yards of total offense.
Harris finished with 96 yards rushing on 12 carries and completed 17 of 25 passes for 187 yards.
The Eagles (1-7, 0-4) had 314 yards of total offense. Anthony Sherrell led the Eagles with a career-high 187 yards rushing on 33 carries.
Akron 38, Cent. Florida 24
AKRON -- Charlie Frye completed 27 of 38 passes for 307 yards and one touchdown and ran for one touchdown to lead Akron.
Bobby Hendry, who rushed for 87 yards, added TD runs of 1 and 2 yards in the second and fourth quarters for Akron (5-3, 3-2 MAC).
Ryan Schneider completed 25 of 34 passes for 259 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, and Tavaris Capers caught 8 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns for UCF (2-5, 1-3).
Kentucky 35, Ohio 14
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Backup quarterback Shane Boyd threw one touchdown pass, caught one and ran for two.
Boyd relieved starter Jared Lorenzen after Lorenzen lost two fumbles in the first quarter. Boyd scored on runs on 8 and 12 yards, threw a 42-yard scoring pass to Tommy Cook and caught a 30-yard TD pass from Lorenzen in the fourth quarter.
Kentucky (3-4) limited Ohio (2-5) to 153 yards of offense through three quarters.
