DALLAS (AP) -- Jason Arnott had a goal and an assist, and Philippe Boucher and Bill Guerin each scored second-period goals as the Dallas Stars beat the Washington Capitals 4-2 Friday night.
Boucher's goal broke a 2-all tie and gave the Stars the lead for good. Guerin followed with a score four minutes later.
Washington goaltender Olaf Kolzig is 0-8-1 lifetime against Dallas. The Stars scored on four of their first nine shots against Kolzig.
Matt Pettinger and Robert Lang had goals for the Capitals, who are winless in four games since beating the New York Islanders in their opener.
Dallas' Marty Turco made 23 saves.
