Children alone in car
YOUNGSTOWN -- City police charged a woman with child endangerment after they said she left two children unattended in a car that rolled into a drugstore.
Cecil Taylor, 54, of Kendis Circle, was at the checkout at the CVS store on Oak Street about 3:15 p.m. Friday when her 1989 Buick backed into the front of the store. A 3-year-old girl was in the driver's seat, witnesses told police. Also, a year-old child was in the car.
Police said the car's steering column was peeled back and not working correctly, and the parking brake wasn't operating. The accident caused minor damage to the car and the building.
