ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOWS
XSt. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will hold its annual holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. Vendor space is available by calling (330) 782-3682.
AUCTIONS
XNorth Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will hold its second annual auction at 6 p.m. Thursday. Featured will be gift baskets, quilts, baked goods, business gift certificates, and new and gently used items. The food stand will open at 5 p.m.
BAZAARS
XGustavus Federated Church, Route 87 at 193 in Gustavus, will sponsor a bazaar from 1 to 5 p.m. and turkey dinners with serving from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Meals are $8 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers.
BINGO-CARD PARTIES
XOblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus will hold a card and bingo party and a Chinese auction beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday at Teresa Casini Hall, 50 Warner Road, Hubbard. Tickets are $4 and include luncheon.
XRebekah Lodge, 1371 Depot St., Mineral Ridge, will hold a card and bingo party at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are $4 and include lunch.
XSt. Mary Church will hold a card party at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church hall, corner of Seneca and High Street, Warren. There will be door prizes, a salad bar and raffles. Tickets are $5 at the door.
XWomen's Guild of St. Vincent de Paul Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will hold a card party at 7 p.m. Thursday in the church hall. There will be more than 100 door and special prizes, and lunch will be served. Patrons are asked to take cards or board games. Tickets are $5 from guild members or at the church office.
CRAFT SHOWS
XHickory Hornet Band Boosters will sponsor a craft show with more than 100 exhibitors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Hickory High School, 640 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa. Admission is $2. Craft space is available. For information call (724) 981-3520.
DINNERS/DANCES
XCanfield Band Parents will hold a Harvest of Memories Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Maronite Center, South Meridian Road, Austintown. The event will include a buffet dinner. XEaster Seals will hold its 52nd annual dinner Nov. 6 at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman. A social hour with cash bar will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a sit-down dinner at 7. Guest speaker will be John Hirschbeck, major-league baseball umpire. Reservations are due by Friday, and cost is $40 per person. XMake-a-tWish Foundation will sponsor a fund-raising dinner Nov. 1 for the benefit of Anthony Hartwig at St. Nicholas Church Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. FESTIVALS
XA harvest festival will be held at EDI-Central, Sheltered Workshop, 8330 County Home Road, Lisbon, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Featured will be a petting zoo, games, music, a garage sale, raffles, a bake sale and refreshments.
FUND-RAISERS
XEaster Seals will hold a "Walk With Me" fund-raiser from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Boardman Township Park. Registration will take place at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in the park, and past and present Child Ambassadors and the Hope Club will kick off the walk at 9 a.m. Walkers are welcome to participate in a one-mile, 3-kilometer or 5-k route. There also will be a Stroller Brigade. Participants are welcome to wear their favorite Halloween costume, and there will be guest appearances by several cartoon characters. XA benefit dinner and silent auction will be held Nov. 1 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, U.S. Route 224, Poland, to raise funds to help pay medical expenses for Anthony Ciavarella, 5, son of Paul and Kim Ciavarella of Poland, who has been battling T-cell leukemia since September. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. and will include performances of Hudson Player Productions and Good Vibrations, and the silent auction featuring sports paraphernalia, arts and crafts, food baskets, candy baskets and more. SPECIAL EVENTS
XStoneboro Historical and Community Society will sponsor a fall Poker Fun Run Sunday beginning with registration at noon at The Caboose in Stoneboro, Pa., 5 Railroad St. Participants can ride cars, truck, vans or motorcycles and make seven different stops. The cost is $5 a card. Prizes will be awarded.
