BIG SNOW: Six children posed on Norwood Avenue in Youngstown for this Vindicator photograph that was published on Nov. 25, 1950. The children were sledding since the schools were closed, but the storm that dumped more than 28 inches of snow over several days was blamed for a number of injuries and deaths and causing up to $20 million in lost industrial production and retail sales.
