P. BUCKLEY MOSS SOCIETY Celebrities donate items for auction
A Bob Hope special edition putter is among the objects to be offered.
WARREN -- The Western Reserve Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society has planned a charity auction for 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. N.W.
Included in the evening will be a wine and cheese reception, during which guests will have an opportunity to view items donated for the auction, and a catered sit-down dinner.
Following a talk by the guest speaker, Gina Marinelli of WKBN TV Channel 27, the live auction will get underway.
On the block
In keeping with the purpose of the event to promote literacy, celebrities have donated autographed copies of favorite childhood or current books along with an inscription stating why it is a favorite. In addition to the books, celebrities donated such items as T-shirts and autographed pictures.
Also auctioned will be a Bob Hope special edition putter with the bronze head sculpted to resemble Hope's "ski nose" profile, and original artworks donated by Pat Moss.
Those wishing to participate in the auction are required to be present at the dinner.
A raffle for several framed P. Buckley Moss prints and a Chinese auction for some of the celebrity items also will be held.

Tickets for the event are $28 and can be purchased by sending a check, payable to the chapter, to Anita Stocz, 131 Kean Drive, Cortland, 44410, or reserved by contacting her at (330) 569-6007 between 8:30 and 5:30 p.m. daily or on her cell phone, (330) 219-8197.
