NHL Penguins seek first win after falling in Montreal

Pittsburgh is winless there since 1999, going 0-7-2 at the Bell Centre.
MONTREAL (AP) -- The Montreal Canadiens have been getting results ever since coach Claude Julien asked his team to change its approach on the power play.
Mike Ribeiro had a power-play goal and two assists, and Montreal scored three times with the extra man in a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins Thursday night.
"We're trying to focus on shooting more on the net," he said. "Last year we stood around a lot in the box but this year he wants more movement and when we have a shot, don't miss it."
The Canadiens have won all three of their games this season, while the Penguins slipped to 0-2-1.
Changing the outlook
Ribeiro set up a goal by Richard Zednik with 1.5 seconds remaining in the second.
"The second goal really hurt us," Mario Lemieux said. "With less than two seconds left, it changed the outlook of the game and they got a couple of power-play goals in the third, so we've got to get better at special teams."
Ribeiro also assisted on Jason Ward's power-play goal that gave Montreal a 3-1 lead at 9:19 of the third before scoring the Canadiens' third power-play goal two minutes later for his third goal in four games.
Andrei Markov also scored on the power play in the first, and Jose Theodore finished with 22 saves.
Theodore has allowed just two goals in three games, and Montreal has outscored its opponents 12-2.
"I thought in the second period, Pittsburgh dominated a little bit but we were able to get that big goal in the end," Theodore said.
Martin Straka scored for Pittsburgh on a power play in the second. The Penguins went 1-for-7 with the man advantage and have scored just twice in 13 opportunities overall.
"I think we played pretty well the whole game long and it's a tough loss," Straka said. "We got a lot of good chances in the second period and we couldn't put them in, and in the third we had a couple of breakdowns and they put them in and that was the difference in the game."
Pittsburgh is winless in Montreal since Jan. 31, 1999, going 0-7-2 at the Bell Centre in that span.
Deflections
Markov got credit for his first goal on a power play late in the first. Michael Ryder and Yanic Perreault drew assists when the defenseman's shot struck Pittsburgh defender Nolan Baumgartner before deflecting off goalie Sebastien Caron's leg and into the net at 18:57. Lemieux got his third point in as many games when he and Aleksey Morozov assisted on Straka's power-play goal 7:32 into the second.
Zednik's goal beat Caron from the slot with a shot through the legs to break a 1-1 tie.
