MASONS Area members attend 114th chapter session



COLUMBUS -- Members of District 2 of the Order of the Eastern Star attended the 114th "Cherish Our Memories" Grand Chapter Session of the Grand Chapter of Ohio that was held Sept. 26-28.
Reports were given on charitable contributions made by the chapter throughout the year ending July 31, and election of officers for the ensuing year was held with Sandra Edmisten of Russellville Chapter, District 22, chosen as worthy grand matron and Robert Palmer of Ravenna Chapter, District 2, elected worthy grand patron.
William Westover of Palmy Chapter, District 2, Deerfield, was appointed as district charities director, Sally Sampson of the same chapter was appointed grand organist.
The newly created Order of the Eastern Star Resource Bureau has been established to provide speakers and information to individuals and organizations with Russell Gillam of Miriam Chapter, Youngstown, appointed to serve on the bureau.
District 2 is composed of 22 chapters located in Hartford, Youngstown, Girard, Cortland, Warren, West Farmington, Niles, Newton Falls, Deerfield, Garrettsville, Mantua, Ravenna, Kent, Aurora, Richfield, Twinsburg, Cuyahoga Falls, Akron, Kenmore, Barberton and Portage Lakes.
