FUND-RAISER Spectacular to feature a fashion show

Proceeds will be directed to a scholarship fund.
YOUNGSTOWN -- "Season Spectacular 2003" is the theme chosen for the third annual champagne luncheon and fashion show to be presented by Youngstown Business and Professional Women's Club on Nov. 1 at Fonderlac Country Club, 1140 Paulin Road, New Springfield.
Doors for the event will open at 11 a.m., and the luncheon will be served at noon. Afterward a variety of fashions will be modeled, and there will be a silent auction, door prizes and a cash bar.
Admission to the event is $25, and checks, payable to the club, should be mailed to Possessions, 945 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman, Ohio 44512, by Friday.
The purpose
Proceeds from the spectacular will provide scholarships for deserving area students at Youngstown State University.
Linda Deckant is serving as chairwoman for the fund-raiser, and her co-chairwoman is Sandra Johnston. Their planning committee consists of Minnie Andrews, Ruth Bradshaw, Jo Ann Stock, Julie Wright and Tamica Green. The silent auction will be conducted by Heather Belgin and Judy Kovalan.
