FARRELL Seminar to be held for men



FARRELL, Pa. -- Man 2 Man, an effort by local service agencies to empower men to deal with personal and community issues, will be held Saturday at Jesus' Church -- Faith Christian Ministries, 901 Union St.
The seminar is being sponsored by the Minority Health Center, the Neighborhood-Based Family Intervention Center and the Shenango Valley Urban League Inc.
The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and lunch will be provided. There's a $5 registration fee that is payable at the door.
The goal is to attract 100 men to the event, which will feature men talking to the group about fatherhood, health, spirituality and communications.
There will also be health screenings and a job-skills bank registration, and employers will be on site to accept applications and r & eacute;sum & eacute;s.
Facilitators for the program are: The Rev. Ralph T. Newell, who will discuss spirituality; The Rev Wilbert G. Hadden, who will deal with empowerment; Dr. Kevin Hicks, who will address health issues; Jerome E. Flint, who will handle communications; and Terrence J. Harrison, who will discuss the tools needed for fatherhood.
