AUXILIARIES
XVFW Post 7538 Auxiliary will hold a "Make a Difference Day" program at 10 a.m. Oct. 25 at the home of Dorothy McLalughlin. The group will be donating stuffed animals to the Arnold Family to benefit the "Hugs From Jennifer" project at the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland. The project is in honor of Jennifer Arnold who died in January at the age of 12.
CLASSES
XStruthers High School January and June Classes of 1943 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Friday at The Elmton in Struthers.
CLUBS
XJunior Division of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians will meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the AOH hall, 5110 Southern Blvd., Boardman. A Halloween party will be the entertainment. XToastmasters will hold a northeastern Ohio district conference Nov. 1 at the Sheraton at Belden Village in North Canton. The event will begin at 8 a.m. Featured at noon will be the presentation of a communication and leadership award to Tim White of WKYC TV-3, Cleveland. At 4:30 p.m. eight Toastmasters will compete in a humorous speech contest, each giving a five- to seven-minute original speech. The guest speaker will be Bob Dolgan of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. XYoungstown After 5 will hold a dinner and program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Lockwood House, 7095 Lockwood Blvd., Boardman. The speaker will be Joe Abraham, whose topic will be "What In the World Am I Doing Here?" Also on the program will be Gary Jones of Youngstown Propane. XMembers will provide the entertainment when Hammond Organ Society meets at 7 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. Hostesses for the social hour will be Floss Parsons, Martha Jarvis and Marge Jennings.
