The city's board of control approved these contracts and spending items Thursday:
A $4,075 severance for Stephen Murphy, a firefighter who resigned Sept. 18.Buying a Ford E-350 van through the state purchasing contract for the police Tactical Response Team, not to exceed $19,489.Buying a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria through the state for $5,650.Payment of $5,022 to K.T. Lyden Construction of Youngstown for installing a catch basin and storm line at 343 Wood St.Payment of $3,300 to L.E.C. Inc. for emergency repair of a catch basin at Wick and Lincoln avenues.Payment of $3,701 to L.E.C. Inc. for emergency repair of a catch basin at 526 Glacierview Drive.A contract with Trumbull County for an emergency water supply. The city and county will sell each other water in case of drought or emergency.
