Ministry seeks assistance for kids

CAMPBELL -- Mahoning County Angel Tree, a prison fellowship ministry, is soliciting help from businesses, churches and individuals in order to help sponsor 500 county children up to 16 years old.
Angel Tree is a ministry that accepts applications from prison inmates who have children for whom they are unable to provide Christmas gifts.
In sponsoring these children, Angel Tree recommends one toy and an article of clothing at the cost of $15 to $20 per gift.
The response has been very small this year, said Mary Lou Lebron, ministry coordinator.
"These children are not responsible for the hardship they face due to their parents' incarceration. Their Christmas will be brightened if you would please help fill the need," she said.
