Mahoning official announces run for Trumbull post

WARREN -- Mark Stan of Liberty, a deputy Mahoning County clerk of courts for the past 17 years, announced his candidacy for the Trumbull County clerk of courts position.
Stan, 42, is the third person to declare candidacy for the seat being vacated by Margaret O'Brien, who has served in the post for 16 years and is retiring at the end of 2004. Also running is former state Rep. June Lucas of Mineral Ridge and Karen Infante Allen of Niles, Niles Municipal Court's systems administrator.
Stan, who is running for office for the first time, says he is the candidate with the most experience in the common pleas court system. His main focus, if elected, is to generate more money through the title department.
