GIRLS TENNIS State tournament

Where: Stickney Tennis Center, Ohio State University
When: Friday and Saturday
Cost: $7 each day.
Area qualifiers: Renee Lesnett, Canfield; Rachel McGowan, Canfield. Both will compete in Division I singles.
Notebook: Lesnett, a sophomore, is making her second appearance at the state tournament. She lost in the first round last season. Lesnett is scheduled to play Jenny Belsky of Cincinnati Sycamore in the first round. McGowan, also a sophomore, is making her first state tournament appearance. She is scheduled to play Catherine Rentschler of Cincinnati Ursuline.
