XYOUNGSTOWN -- Gia Lovrak of Stanford, Calif., a daughter of Harry and Patricia Lovrak, 1875 Golf Course Lane, Martinsville, Ind., and Justin Reed, also of Stanford, a son of Joseph and Cynthia Reed, 5595 Sharon Drive, Boardman, were married Sept. 13 at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church.
The Rev. Richard Lambert presided at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and the couple were honored during a reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center.
After a honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, they live in Stanford.
The bride's white satin halter-style gown was embellished with pearls, crystals and embroidery.
Amethyst gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Deanna Lovrak, and the bridesmaids, Monica Grande, Stacee Martin, Lori LeDuc and the bride's sister-in-law, Sarah Lovrak.
The duties of best man were performed by Dr. Damon Reed, the groom's brother, and groomsmen were Tyler Reed, his brother; Cory Lovrak, the bride's brother; Jeffrey Webb; and David Ross.
The bride graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University in Columbus with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She is a consultant with Environmental and Occupational Risk Management in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The groom, a graduate student in mechanical engineering at Stanford University, graduated summa cum laude from OSU with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
