XBOARDMAN -- Doris Jean Johnstone and Michael Patrick McKay exchanged wedding vows Sept. 13 during an outdoor ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at the gazebo in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Richard Judy officiated, and a reception took place at The Embassy in Youngstown.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Niagara Falls and live at 32 Melbourne Ave.
Mr. McKay is a son of Larry and Debbie McKay, 123 Maple Drive, Youngstown. He is employed as a machinist at City Machine Technologies in Youngstown. Mrs. McKay is a homemaker.
The bride wore an A-line gown of white satin designed with spaghetti straps and a long train and enhanced with beads and embroidery. She carried a bouquet of lavender roses, baby's breath and alstroemeria.
Gretchen Brumbaugh of Poland was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Kim McKay of Boardman, the groom's sister; Kathy Kirkner of Boardman; and April Crites of Girard. They wore pistachio-green gowns. Flower girl was Megan Deeley of Boardman.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's father, and groomsmen were Jeff Fincham of Youngstown and John Fincham of Austintown, his cousins, and Eric Kulik of New Middletown. The couple's son, Christion Johnstone of Boardman, was ring bearer.
