XAKRON -- St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Sept. 12 for the wedding of Cynthia Marie Block, daughter of Lawrence and Beth Block of Willowick, and James Robert Siegfried of the Akron area, a son of Pamela and John Brincko of Canfield and James R. Siegfried of Niles.
The Rev. Paul Schindler officiated, and a reception was held afterward at the Martin Center on the campus of the University of Akron.
After a wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii, the couple live in the Akron area.
Designed in an off-the-shoulder mode, the bride's satin gown was enhanced with rosettes and featured an embroidered bodice and a chapel train.
Cornflower-blue gowns were worn by Jennifer Block, who served as honor attendant for her twin sister, and the bridesmaids, Krista Milford, the groom's sister; Brooke Prince; and Erin Clegg. The bride's cousin, Karah Block, was flower girl.
Todd Hough performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Jeff Buck, John Flint and Thomas Martin. Ring bearer was Ethan Milford, the groom's nephew.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in business administration, the bride is an area sales manager with Kaufmann's of Cleveland.
The groom, a police officer with the village of Reminderville, holds an associate degree in criminal justice from the University of Akron.
