HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Civil Air Patrol has openings for girls and boys ages 12 to 18. There are openings in the flying and aerospace education programs. Scholarships are available. Guest night is 6:30 every Wednesday at the Hermitage National Guard Armory.
Rabies vaccinations
STRUTHERS -- Rabies vaccinations will be available for dogs and cats from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Struthers Police Department garage. No appointment is necessary. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be caged or restrained in a cloth pillowcase. The cost is $2 per pet.
Storyteller at library
LISBON -- Professional storyteller Denise Kellerman will be at the Lepper Library at 4 p.m. Wednesday to tell scary stories. People of all ages are welcome to attend. Children can compete for door prizes. At 6 p.m. Oct. 29 there will be a Halloween party. Children will receive prizes for costumes, and all children will receive goody bags.
