YOUNGSTOWN -- Brilex Industries has hired Ed Baringer as a contract administrator. Baringer has more than 35 years of experience with Wean United, working in engineering, purchasing, proposals and production coordination. Brilex is a supplier of new and rebuilt machinery and equipment to the manufacturing industry with plants in Youngstown and Bellefonte, Pa.
HEALTH CARE
SHARON, Pa. -- Lynell Piccirillo of New Wilmington has been named clinical manager of Sharon Regional Health System's Surgical and Pediatric Care Unit. Piccirillo is a registered nurse and is certified in trauma nursing, basic life support, advanced-care life support and pediatric advanced life support. She is also certified as a CPR instructor.
She was a staff nurse in the emergency department at Jameson Hospital, New Castle, before joining Sharon Regional. Piccirillo has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minn., and graduated from Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Dr. Marc F.G. Estafanous has joined the UPMC Horizon medical consulting staff. Dr. Estafanous, who practices with Vitreo-Retinal Consultants in Hermitage, has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and biology from Johns Hopkins University and a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Md., an ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles.
GOVERNMENT
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Gregory Pacelli, income maintenance manager of the Lawrence County Assistance Office, has been appointed manager of the Clarion County Assistance Office. He will start his new position Oct. 31. Pacelli started working at the Department of Welfare in 1973, and has been assistant director since July 1990. A graduate of Slippery Rock University and resident of New Castle, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
TECHNOLOGY
BOARDMAN - Microsys Computing, Inc., a medical practice management software company, has hired Brian Myers as Director of Sales. Myers has 13 years' experience in a variety of sales situations -- most recently, with TEGG Corporation. He has trained sales staff and mentored business owners and sales managers.
ACCOUNTING
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Carbis Walker LLP, certified public accountants and consultants, elected Kirk T. Mitchell to its partnership. Mitchell, a certified public accountant, also serves as director of tax services. He has more than 20 years' experience in public accounting. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Robert Morris College where he also earned a master's degrees in taxation, and he has a second master's degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh.
