Oct. 12
Arrest: After noticing a suspicious vehicle at Girard Intermediate School, police arrested a 17-year-old McDonald girl near Elruth and Forsythe avenues on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Officers alleged she sped off and ran through a stop sign..
Oct. 13
Fraud: A Harry Street man reported two men who said they worked for Price Heating & amp; Cooling, 330 Trumbull Ave., charged him $3,200 for furnace work, and then he found out the men don't work for the company.
Criminal damage: Someone slashed a tire at Girard High School, 31 N. Ward Ave.
Theft: A cellular phone was removed from a pickup truck parked in the 10 block of Shady Lane.
Criminal damage: A woman reported her rental car's driver's-side window was smashed in the 700 block of Illinois Avenue.
Criminal damage: Police discovered a vehicle's window smashed in the 600 block of Washington Avenue.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Park Avenue man alleged his former wife may have taken his 1995 Saturn without permission.
Oct. 14
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a car's turn signal lever and tampered with its battery terminals while the vehicle was in the 100 block of East Second Street.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a man at his Elruth Court residence on a domestic violence charge after his girlfriend alleged he grabbed her arm and both sides of her face and shook her after they argued about a set of car keys. She had bruises on her right wrist and swelling on both cheeks.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's passenger-side window was broken in the 300 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
Vandalism: Someone kicked in a basement vent window to a residence in the 100 block of East Second Street.
Theft: A 26-year-old New Castle, Pa., man took six cans of baby formula from Santisi's IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.
Breaking and entering: A vehicle's trunk was opened and its passenger-side door lock pried open in the 40 block of Francis Street. Two large speakers, two amplifiers and a compact-disc player were missing.
Breaking and entering: A car's passenger-side window was broken in the 200 block of Hazel Street, and a $200 car stereo was removed.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Joan Avenue and stole several tapes and other small items.
Breaking and entering: A car parked in the 400 block of East Kline Street was broken into, and a portable CD player and 150 CDs were taken.
Theft: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 200 block of East Kline Street and removed about six CDs and loose change.

Oct. 7
Assault: A woman in the 800 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road alleged her boyfriend slapped her in the face after she talked on the phone.
Arrest: After responding to a domestic situation in the 200 block of Colonial Drive, police arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown man at the residence on charges of domestic violence, burglary, abduction and coercion. The suspect's wife alleged he broke into her residence, hit her several times, threatened to kill her and refused to allow her to leave.

Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on Gypsy Lane for having fictitious license plates, police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown woman on charges of receiving stolen property and having no operator's license.
Oct. 9
Recovered property: A 1990 Oldsmobile Silhouette stolen in Struthers was recovered in the Consumer Car Co. Inc. parking lot, 5925 Belmont Ave.
Oct. 10
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from a residence in the 4700 block of Fifth Avenue after someone broke in through a rear garage door and basement door.
Arrest: After investigating a report of someone passed out in a vehicle near Tibbetts-Wick Road and the state Route 11 on-ramp, police arrested a 34-year-old Vienna man on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and carrying a concealed weapon. Officers say they found a leather blackjack in his pocket.

Assault/burglary: A woman in the 800 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road alleged her brother, 21, broke into her apartment, punched her in the mouth and stole $1,300, a gold necklace and other pieces of jewelry. He accused her of taking $2,100.
Theft: Two license plates were removed from a vehicle at Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave.

Recovered property: A woman found three revolvers as she cleaned her parents' residence in the 300 block of Ventura Drive and turned them over to police.
Oct. 13
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Zoodles Inc., 4425 Logan Way, through a door window and removed a cash register containing $98.
Breaking and entering: A computer and monitor were taken from Redstone Management, 5050 Belmont Ave., after someone broke in.
HUBBARD
Oct. 9
Assault: An East Liberty Street boy alleged two juveniles assaulted him at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.
Assault: A Trumbull Avenue boy alleged two men, 18 and 20, assaulted him in the Taco Bell parking lot, 730 W. Liberty St.
Criminal mischief: Someone tossed eggs at two homes in the 200 block of Rebecca Avenue.
Oct. 10
Vandalism: A woman reported someone broke a window to a backhoe parked at a construction site on West Liberty Street.
Criminal mischief: Someone flattened a vehicle's tires while the car was parked at the Baldine Plaza on state Route 304.
Criminal damage: An employee at Roosevelt Elementary, 110 Orchard Ave., reported a window at the school broken.

Identity theft: A woman in the 800 block of Emerald Street reported being a victim.
Criminal mischief: Someone used a pumpkin to damage a mailbox in the 500 block of Wendemere Drive.
Burglary: A woman in the 10 block of Walnut Street came home and discovered some doors to her residence open.

Criminal mischief: A man reported that a political sign posted on West Liberty Street was removed.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 200 block of Christian Avenue said a boy, 15, smashed several pumpkins in the area.

Criminal damage: A man in the 20 block of Furlen Court reported someone spray-painted his garage.
Criminal damage: A Hubbard man reported someone damaged his vehicle as he drove on East Liberty Street.
Oct. 14
Theft: A Stoneybrook Drive man reported damage to his car while it was at Morrow's Auto Service Inc. for service, 1200 N. Main St.
Assault: A School Street woman reported being a victim of assault.
