SCOPE gets ready for four-county art show
WARREN -- SCOPE Inc. of Trumbull County will host the annual Four County Art Show for senior citizens Monday through Oct. 24. The event is open to residents of Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties who are 50 or older.
Contestants may enter as many as three items per category in any number of categories. All items entered must have been completed since the contestant's 50th birthday.
Registration fees are $3 per category and 50 cents per item and must be taken to the Warren SCOPE Senior Center by Friday. Categories for this year are acrylic painting, ceramics, crochet, drawing, embroidery, knitting, oil painting, pastels/painting, photography, quilting, silk floral arrangements, watercolor painting, weaving, woodwork, needlepoint, sculpture and an open category.
An awards ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 24 with cash prizes being awarded along with ribbons.
Susan Schroeder, head of the art department at Kent State University Trumbull Campus, will serve as judge. For information call (330) 399-8846.
