UCFC issues reporton third-quarter earnings
YOUNGSTOWN -- United Community Financial Corp. earned $5.8 million, or 17 cents a share, in the third quarter, compared with $5.2 million, or 16 cents a share, in the same quarter last year. It is the holding company for Home Savings and Loan Co. and Butler Wick Corp.

WARREN -- Second Bancorp earned $4.9 million, or 51 cents a share, in the third quarter, compared with $5.5 million, or 55 cents a share, in the same quarter last year. It is the holding company of Second National Bank.

Restructuring expensesreduce F.N.B.'s earnings
NAPLES, Fla. -- F.N.B. Corp. earned $484,000, or 1 cent a share, for the third quarter, compared with $24.1 million, or 51 cents a share, for the same quarter last year. It said restructuring expenses reduced last quarter's earnings by $32.3 million, or 45 cents a share. F.N.B. is spinning off its Florida banks and financial services operations into a new corporation. F.N.B. will move its headquarters to Hermitage to oversee its Pennsylvania-based operations.
