Trustee meeting
The township trustees handled these matters at their Tuesday night meeting:
Entered into a contract with MS Consultants Inc. of Youngstown for an analysis and possible engineering of flooding in the township. Payment is not to exceed $15,000. The amount was originally estimated at $5,000, but more trouble spots have been identified.
Entered into an agreement with MS Consultants for landscaping engineering at three ramps at Interstate 80 and Belmont Avenue. Township Administrator Patrick J. Ungaro said the company will work with the landscaper and Ohio Department of Transportation on the $150,000 project.
Entered into an agreement with Main Lite Electric Co. Inc. of Warren to move the 20 mph school zone sign from in front of the former high school to Shady Road.
Agreed to replace three air-conditioning units on the administration building roof for no more than $20,000. Ungaro said the base of the current units allows the roof to leak, although the roof was replaced this summer.
Honored Chuck Williams of Parkwood Avenue. Fire Chief Michael Durkin said Williams discovered a neighbor's home on fire while the residents were sleeping, called 911 and alerted the family so they could safely escape the flames. The side of Williams' home and his vehicles were burned.
