Oct. 6
Theft: A Cathy Ann Drive woman reported a T-shirt, a pair of gym shorts and a cellular phone stolen from her daughter's locker at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave.
Theft: A woman in the 1900 block of Brandon Avenue alleged her daughter took an engagement ring and a book of checks, cashing the checks for $1,000.
Theft: Someone stole $62 worth of cough drops and antacid tablets from a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A man in the 4700 block of Lakewood Avenue discovered a 24-foot extension ladder missing from his driveway.
Theft: Someone rented a $345 roof nailer from T.R. Equipment Rentals, 4627 Market St., and failed to return it.
Robbery: Someone robbed Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road and stole a $60 pair of boots.
Criminal damage: Someone broke a basement window screen to an apartment in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.
Theft: Police arrested an East Liverpool girl, 17, and a North Jackson girl, 15, on theft charges after $283 worth of miscellaneous jewelry was stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall. One girl also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs; the other girl also faced a charge of possession of tobacco under age 18.
Theft: An employee at the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave., told police that an audit revealed $254 missing from the business.
Assault: A Youngstown woman reported someone punched her in the stomach while she was in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 1300 Doral Drive.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 900 block of Pearson Circle reported $150 in damage to her driveway.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported $400 worth of prescription medications and numerous credit and other cards stolen while she shopped at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Oct. 7
Arrest: A 19-year-old Boardman man was arrested near Erskine Avenue and Erie Street on charges of felonious assault, aggravated menacing and carrying a concealed weapon after a Boardman woman reported being assaulted and a man said he was threatened with physical harm.
Theft: After a theft at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road, a woman, 29, and a man, 34, both from Struthers, were charged.
Vandalism: Someone used a rock to damage a cafeteria window at Paul C. Bunn Elementary, 1825 Sequoia Drive. A 4-foot wood fence, 14 flowers and two bird feeders also were damaged.
Burglary: Someone stole two laptop computers and $20 from Boardman Acura, 883 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An entertainment center, a dinette set, a plant, miscellaneous clothing, place mats and vertical blinds were removed from an apartment in the 20 block of Clifton Drive.
Theft: A Microtel Inn employee noticed a $112.32 bank deposit missing.
Arrests: Two Youngstown men, 55 and 64, were charged with theft after eight miscellaneous clothing items were stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road. A Youngstown woman, 43, was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated and one count of prohibitions against consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Theft: A man in his 20s reportedly stole four to five winter coats from the Burlington Coat Factory, 461 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Police arrested two Warren girls, 13 and 16, on theft charges after two pairs of tennis shoes were stolen from the Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Two credit card balance transfer checks were stolen from an office in the 200 block of DeBartolo Place and cashed at various banks.
Theft: A Poland woman reported her purse stolen from an office in the 1200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Bad check: A man, 36, reportedly cashed a $111 check at Cards & amp; Collectibles, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road, drawn on a closed account.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 6000 block of Tam-o-Shanter Drive and removed undetermined items.
Theft: A 40-year-old Boardman man was charged with theft after two packs of cigarettes and five frozen burritos were stolen from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: The paint on a car's hood and roof was scraped in the 60 block of Terrace Drive.
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from a garage in the 4200 block of Stratford Avenue after someone broke in.
Oct. 8
Theft: Police arrested a 27-year-old Niles man on a theft charge after someone rented an $800 tile saw from T.R. Equipment Rentals and failed to return the item.
Domestic violence: A 23-year-old man was arrested at his Cook Avenue residence on a domestic-violence charge after his girlfriend alleged he assaulted her at their apartment.
Assault: Police arrested a 15-year-old Boardman girl on an assault charge after a Brookfield Avenue woman reported her daughter was assaulted in a hallway at Boardman High School.
Drugs: After a traffic stop near Market Street and Homestead Drive, a 37-year-old Youngstown man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when a suspected crack pipe was found in his vehicle. He also was charged with failure to comply with the conditions of probation.
Vandalism: Someone threw a brick through the driver's-side window of a company truck owned by Consumer Ohio Water, 6650 South Ave., causing $200 in damage.
Recovered property: Youngstown police recovered a 1988 GMC Sierra truck stolen from the Mahoning Valley Electric Service Inc. parking lot, 4326 Lake Park Road.
Theft: Someone stole an undetermined number of packs of cigarettes from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Possible theft: An employee at Cornerstone Premium Motors, 8133 Market St., reported an Ohio dealer plate lost or stolen off a vehicle.
Theft: Someone removed an automobile grill from a car parked in the 7200 block of South Avenue.
Theft: Police arrested a 26-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on a theft charge after a 246-piece tool set was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Assault: A Hubbard woman reported her 7-year-old son was assaulted when he was in the 1000 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 200 block of Charles Avenue reported finding suspicious tire marks in her front yard.
Oct. 9
Arrest: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on charges of misuse of a credit card and forgery after a Canfield man reported someone fraudulently used his personal information to buy $2,500 worth of merchandise at The Mobile Solution in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: A mailbox was damaged in the 8500 block of Reserve Court.
Theft: Four patient medical charts were missing from an office area at Physicians Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Center, 914 Trailwood Drive.
Burglary: A woman in the 90 block of Red Grouse Court discovered her residence broken into and a purse, a wallet, a driver's license, a Social Security card and a pair of eyeglasses stolen.
Theft: A 16-year-old Campbell girl was charged with theft after a white top was taken from Rave in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: A front window was damaged at a residence in the 4100 block of Arden Boulevard.
Theft: Police charged a 25-year-old Austintown woman with theft after three coats, two T-shirts, a pair of sweatpants and other miscellaneous pieces of clothing were stolen from Kohl's.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 39, was charged with theft after two pairs of men's thermal tops and two pairs of men's thermal bottoms were taken from Wal-Mart. She also was charged with obstructing official business.
Theft: Police arrested a 48-year-old Youngstown man on charges of theft and possessing criminal tools after two electronic door chimes were stolen from Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive.
Theft: Someone broke into a vending machine at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road, and removed the change box.
Burglary: A woman in the 100 block of Lieskin Lane reported her garage broken into and a $150 motorized children's bicycle stolen.
Attempted breaking and entering: An employee at Cigarette Outlet, 6009 South Ave., discovered $500 in damage to a rear entry door.
Vandalism: Police discovered a broken plate glass window to a vacant building in the 4000 block of Hillman Way.
Oct. 10
Theft: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after two pairs of earrings were stolen from Kaufmann's.
Arrest: A 22-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested near Glenwood and Longview avenues and charged with obstructing official business after a Youngstown woman reported someone fraudulently used her identity.
Bad checks: A 28-year-old man was arrested at his Moyer Avenue residence on three counts of passing bad checks after a man alleged being given a check to cash on a closed account. The suspect is accused of cashing three bad checks, totaling $2,410, at Sky Bank and Ace Cash Express.
Theft: A man in his late 20s reportedly fled Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, after taking 40 packs of cigarettes.
Theft by deception: An employee at Kay Jewelers in the Southern Park Mall reported someone bought 15 items, worth a total of $3,116, by using someone else's credit card.
Theft: A video surveillance system and two cameras were removed from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 285 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on a theft charge after a music box and a flower arrangement were stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Theft: A man in his late 20s reportedly stole three coats from Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A Youngstown boy, 16, was charged with theft after a bottle of cologne was taken from Kaufmann's.
Theft: An employee at the Travelers Inn, 6110 Market St., reported $1,200 in cash stolen from a desk area.
Theft: Two tools were removed from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Theft: Police arrested a 43-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after an $88 jogging suit was stolen from the JCPenney store in the Southern Park Mall. She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Felonious assault: A Warren man alleged a man, 43, assaulted him in the Intelli-Tech. parking lot, 8544 Hickory Hill Drive. The victim had contusions on his left shoulder and upper arm.
Criminal mischief: Someone tossed toilet paper into a yard in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Theft: Four to five packs of cigarettes were removed from Wal-Mart.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Jay's Famous Hot Dogs, 68 Boardman-Canfield Road, and removed two cash registers and $40.
Robbery: A Mathews Road woman reported a man struck her in the face before he stole her purse as she got into her vehicle at Cochran's Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave.
Theft: Someone stole two TVs from an office area at the Travelers Inn.
Theft: Police arrested a 43-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after four junior fleece jackets and six pairs of blue jeans were stolen from JCPenney.
Theft: A 23-year-old Poland woman was charged with theft after a pair of earrings and a bottle of perfume were taken from Kaufmann's.
Possible theft: A woman reported $22 and a bus pass case lost or stolen at an unknown location.

Criminal damage: A man discovered someone tossed eggs at his car parked in his driveway in the 800 block of Fairfield Avenue.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 4800 block of Erie Street reported her vehicle's driver's-side door scratched.
Theft: A Mill Creek Boulevard woman reported her MasterCard was stolen and is being fraudulently used.
Criminal damage: A man in the 4100 block of Baymar Drive discovered a plate glass window to his garage damaged.
Theft: A briefcase and a cordless drill were removed from a truck parked in the 3800 block of Timothy Lane.
Arrest: A 45-year-old woman was arrested at her Lynn Mar Drive residence on a charge of endangering children after police say they saw a 2-year-old girl, wearing a diaper and T-shirt, alone in a backyard.
Domestic violence: A 34-year-old man was arrested at his Rush Circle residence on a domestic-violence charge after a woman reported being a victim.
Theft: A woman in her 20s reportedly stole $67 worth of miscellaneous clothing from Gabriel Bros.
Theft: A $400 portable DVD player and a plastic filing case were removed from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A bottle of wine was stolen from a Shell gas station, 998 E. Western Reserve Road.
Truck theft: A 1998 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen from the Camelot Lanes parking lot, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Oct. 8
Vandalism: Someone broke a window and smashed some light bulbs at a building in the 300 block of Sheridan Road.
Drugs: After pulling over a vehicle near U.S. Route 224 and Diana Drive for a loud music violation, police cited a 25-year-old New Castle, Pa., man on charges of having a loud stereo and possession of marijuana. Officers found a suspected marijuana cigarette in the car's ashtray.
Oct. 9
Vandalism: Someone broke a window to a press box at North Elementary School, 361 Johnston Place.
Oct. 11
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from a garage in the 60 block of Poland Manor Drive after someone broke in.
Burglary: A woman in the 40 block of Renwick Drive reported someone broke into her residence through two rear windows, and that a bank deposit was missing from her purse.
Oct. 13
Possible breaking and entering: A woman returned to her residence in the 10 block of Massachusetts Avenue and discovered a rear door open. Nothing was missing.
