Cancer educator to speak at MetroPlex
YOUNGSTOWN -- Humility of Mary Health Partners Oncology Services will celebrate 25 years of cancer education from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday by welcoming Dr. Bernie Siegel to the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, Girard.
Dr. Siegel is a world-renowned physician, author, motivational speaker and advocate for individuals facing the challenges of cancer and chronic illness.
During "Prescriptions for Living" Siegel will discuss his experiences over the past 20 years with people confronting life's difficulties, both physical and emotional. Survival behavior patterns will be outlined, as well as the role of love, hope, humor, spirituality, desire and intention. The interplay of mind and body, memories, thoughts, and feelings and their role in our life and health will be discussed.
