MERCER, Pa. -- Motorists are reminded of lane closures and restrictions during road construction, which will resume Tuesday on interstates 79 and 80 near here.
Traffic congestion may occur on I-79 from Tuesday through Friday because of shoulder and other work between Mile Post 112, which is south of the Grove City exit, and the Crawford County line, and on the ramps that connect I-79 and 80. The same advisory applies on a two-mile section of I-80 near the I-79 and I-80 interchange.
Flu, pneumonia shots
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Quaker State Medical Services will administer flu and pneumonia shots at the Sears Court in the Shenango Valley Mall from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Flu shots are $20; Medicare Part B, no cost. Pneumonia shots are $25. For more information, call (724) 346-4564.
Art auction scheduled
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Lawrence County Historical Society will have its second annual art auction Thursday at the New Englander Banquet facility on Wilmington Road. A preview will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the auction at 6:30 p.m.
Marlin Fine Auctions of New York will conduct the auction. Donald W. Fox, a longtime society member and previous member of the board of directors, will be honored for his years of service and dedication. UPMC gets $2 million gift
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Retired banker and oil and gas magnate Robert Eberly and his wife, Elouise, of Fayette County, donated $2 million to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's organ transplant institute, which will name a program for him.
