PREP FOOTBALL Watterson rallies to defeat Ursuline in overtime, 30-24

YOUNGSTOWN -- Columbus Watterson rallied from a 24-10 halftime deficit to defeat Ursuline 30-24 in overtime Friday at Stambaugh Stadium.
Eric Hard scored on a 10-yard run in the extra session to turn back the Irish's upset bid against last year's Division III state champion.
Ursuline's Alex Allen fumbled on the Irish possession to set up the winning score for the Eagles.
Ursuline (4-4) amassed 470 yards of offense, but struggled in the second half, committing four of their five turnovers after halftime.
Ursuline senior quarterback Daryll Clark led the Irish offense by completing 17 of 30 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns -- one each to Allen and Jerome Jones. Clark also rushed for 75 yards on 15 carries, but committed two turnovers in the second half. Irish wideout Derrick Stewart caught four passes for 108 yards and made a key interception at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime.
Allen led Ursuline with 143 yards on 16 carries. Terrell Washington added 54 yards on five first half carries with a touchdown, but injured his groin and did not play in the second half.
Hard added two more touchdown runs in the second half for Watterson (6-2) and Corey Wilson had a first half touchdown run.
Fitch 51, Wilson 16
AUSTINTOWN -- Fitch scored just about every way possible while rolling over Woodrow Wilson.
The Falcons (5-3) rushed for three scores, passes for two other, returned a punt and an interception for touchdowns and also had a safety.
Mike Eliseo run for two scores, while Miles Williams returned a punt 51 yards and an interception 49 yards for two more scores.
Eric Chine, Melvin Davis and Adam Blasek also added touchdowns for the Falcons, Blasek's came on a 79-yard pass from Drew Laskey.
Wilson (0-8) scored all 16 points in the final period as Sean Cook ran for one score and passed 50 yards to Bryant Dailey for the other.
Fitch kicker Kyle Dabrick tied a school record by connecting on seven extra points, while the Falcon defense set a school mark with eight quarterback sacks.
Fitch finished with 218 total yards, while Wilson had 149 -- 98 of them coming in the final period.
Hoover 49, Boardman 28
BOARDMAN -- Senior quarterback Josh Susany accounted for over 300 total yards for the Spartans (1-7).
Susany was 12-for-28 passing for 238 yards including a 75-yard touchdown pass to Brad Beck and he ran 14 times for 70 yards.
Beck picked up 65 yards on 19 runs including touchdown dashes of 3 and 8 yards.
Boardman had more first downs, 18-12, and rushed for more yards (184-143).
Hoover quarterback Sam Cerreta was 7-for-12 passing for 210 yards and five touchdowns for the Vikings (8-0).
In the fourth quarter, after John Fahey ran for a 42-yard touchdown, Sarah Grabert kicked the conversion to become the first girl to ever score for the Spartan football team.
