Summary of police activity in Austintown:
Sept. 22
Vehicle theft: A 2001 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from Bob Evans, 1038 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Money was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the residential 700 block of Purdue Avenue.
Burglary: Entry was gained through a bedroom window and money was taken in the residential 600 block of Purdue Avenue.
Criminal damage: A vehicle window was broken out at a residence in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Sept. 23
Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry at a burglary in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive. A television was stolen.
Theft: A portable nailer was rented and never returned at TR Rental, 5020 Mahoning Ave.
Attempted theft: A window was broken on a vehicle but nothing was taken at the Fairfield Inn, 801 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Burglary: A front window was broken out and jewelry stolen in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: Entry was gained by unknown means and a radio was taken from a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.
Sept. 24
Theft: A cell phone was stolen from Austintown Fitch High School, Falcon Drive.
Theft: An elderly female is a suspect in the theft of newspapers at Westgate Plaza, 4433 Mahoning Ave.
Vehicle theft: A 1990 blue and silver Chevrolet Lumina van was stolen from Classic Car, 565 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damage: A windshield was cracked on a vehicle at Forest Hill Drive and Elmwood Avenue.
Theft: Money was taken from a vehicle dining service at Wal-Mart Lube Express, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Passing bad checks: Several checks were drawn on closed accounts at Advance Check, 3700 Mahoning Ave.
Sept. 25
Theft: Police arrested a man and took him to the Mahoning County jail for stealing blood glucose monitoring strips worth $247.92 at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Police charged a man with the theft of $220 in the 500 block of Mahoning Avenue. The money was provided to the suspect by three others for the purchase of drugs.
Theft: Keys and a fuel card were stolen from Quality Paving, 6565 Mahoning Ave.
Sept. 26
Theft: A man stole a DVD player from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave. The suspect was driving a 1991 Thunderbird.
Theft: An unidentified type of long gun was taken from a residence in the 100 block of North Roanoke Ave.
Burglary: $1,500 in cash and two 9mm handguns were stolen from an apartment in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damage: A tire was damaged on a vehicle at Davis Elementary School, 4302 Maple Ave.
Theft: A woman is a suspect in a theft in the 800 block of North Meridian Road.
Burglary: A door was damaged, but nothing appeared to be missing from a home in the 500 block of West Gate Boulevard.
Theft: A window was broken and a Sony CD player was taken from a vehicle at ITT Technical School, 1030 N. Meridian Road.
Criminal damage: A passenger window on a van was broken out at the TA Truck Stop, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Sept. 27
Criminal damage: A vehicle was damaged and two juveniles are suspected of slamming doors into the vehicle in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Sept. 28
Lost or stolen cell phone: A cell phone was reported missing at Antonio's, 1601 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A wallet, credit card and cash were stolen from the Rebel truck lot, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's finish was deliberately scratched at the Fairfield Inn.
Counterfeit currency: A man attempted to make two purchases with counterfeit currency at Wendy's, 52 Interstate Blvd.
Theft: Fifty CDs and five DVDs were stolen from a vehicle at Marc's, 4755 Mahoning Ave.
Pursuit: Two suspects in a theft from auto were pursued from the Regency House to Interstate 680 at the Glenwood Avenue exit and arrested.
Theft: An AM-FM radio and CD player were stolen from a vehicle at the Regency, 3702 Mahoning Ave. Police arrested a suspect.
Theft: A stereo and bowling ball bags were stolen and the suspect apprehended at Denny's, 4927 Mahoning Ave.
Attempted theft: Suspects attempted to gain entry by damaging the lock on a vehicle at the Regency.
