Girard meter readings
Girard meter readings
GIRARD -- Mayor James J. Melfi is asking city water customers to phone in their water usage reading to (330) 545-7047.
Those who want to pick up a card and return it to the water department can do so. All cards and calls must be received by Oct. 22. Customers who don't respond will receive estimated bills.
The city's six meter readers have been working in the street, sewer and water department because of flood damage.
Melfi said he's studying to see if meter reading can be eliminated to reduce costs.
