Scouting report: Mount Union routed Otterbein last Saturday, 66-0, to extend its national-best winning streak to 46 games. Heidelberg bounced back from three straight setbacks to defeat Marietta, 21-13. Mount Union holds a 33-13 advantage in the series between the two schools that began in 1910. The Purple Raiders have won 88 straight regular season games and 79 consecutive OAC contests. MUC has the top two QBs in the OAC in passing efficiency. No. 1 is Jesse Burghardt (37-for-51 for 702 yards and 8 TDs with 2 interceptions; and No. 2 Zac Bruney (390-for-48 for 677 yards, 5 TDs and 1 interception). WR Randall Knapp ranks No. 2 in the OAC in receptions (27 for 23.6 yards per catch and 6 TDs), while Nick Sirianni is No. 7 (16 for 21.9 yards and 4 TDs). MLB Shaun Spisak ranks No. 8 in hits (33). Heidelberg's QB, Adam Haught, ranks No. 3 in the OAC in passing yards with 208 yards per game, and No. 4 in passing efficiency at 151.2. He is 67-for-101 for 832 yards, 6 TDs and 2 interceptions. WR Roc Patterson is No. 6 in receptions with 19 for 15.2 yards per catch and 4 TDs. On defense, LB MIke Davis and DB Jeff Stiffler rank Nos. 1 and 2 in the OAC in hits. Davis has 60 hits, while Stiffler has 43.

Scouting report: Westminster lost to Washington & amp; Jefferson last Saturday, 26-17, while Bethany was blanked by Waynesburg, 42-0. Junior TB Scott Froelich rushed for a career-high 205 yards in 38 carries and one TD for Westminster, the 38 carries tying his school record. It marked Froelich's third 100-yard performance this season and the 14th of his career. He was named Offensive Titan of the Week. Junior QB Joe Getsy was 11-of-20 for 116 yards, and WR Brian Ekis (Boardman) had five receptions for 54 yards. Senior FB Ryan Mitchell (Warren Harding) rushed for 17 yards in five carries, and caught three passes for 35 yards and one TD. DBs Froelich and Kevin Kresenski each came up with an interception, while junior LB Jerry Bonenberger registered a team-best 11 tackles and a pair of sacks, and was selected as Defensive Titan of the Week. Froelich also had two solo tackles and two pass breakups. Sophomore kick-return man Sean Buggey returned two kicks for 59 yards, and was picked as Special Teams Titan of the Week. Senior WR Steve Scott had two receptions for 16 yards. Junior OLB Ryan Aleski had seven tackles, including six solo stops; one QB sack and one forced fumble. Despite Bethany's loss, WR Zack Merz turned in his best performance of the year with game-highs of eight receptions and 197 yards. SS Nick Lion led the Bison's defense with 14 tackles, while CB Ryan Nobe had nine tackles and his third interception of the year. CB Aaron Weathers had six solo tackles and one interception.
ALLEGHENY (1-3, 1-0 NCAC)vs. HIRAM (0-4, 0-1)

Scouting report: Allegheny edged Wabash last Saturday, 7-6, while Hiram fell to Oberlin, 24-12. Allegheny holds a 23-11-2 advantage in the series with Hiram. Jon Turner, a senior WR for Allegheny, caught three passes for 20 yards against Wabash to set a school record for career receptions with 127 for 1,578 yards. Turner ranks No. 2 in the NCAC in receptions with 6.25 per game. QB Bubba Smith ranks No. 4 in NCAC passing with 164.0 yards per game (66-for-117 for 656 yards and 6 TDs). Hiram's freshman quarterback, Tom Roszell, passed for over 200 yards for the fourth straight game against Oberlin. He threw for 223 yards on 21-for-42 with 2 TDs. Roszell tops the NCAC in total offense with 215 yards per game. Freshman WR John Papacostas had a career-high eight pass receptions for 99 yards, including a leaping TD catch. Sophomore LB Mike Erkkila had a 10-tackle game for the seventh time in his career and the third time this season. Sophomore Darrin Brounce (Newton Falls High) caught a 15-yard TD pass to become the fifth different Hiram receiver to catch a TD pass this year.
THIEL (1-3, 0-2 PAC) vs.WAYNESBURG (4-1, 1-0)

Where: John F. Wiley Stadium, Waynesburg, Pa.

Scouting report: Thiel was edged by Grove City last Saturday, 16-15; while Waynesburg rolled over Bethany, 42-0, for its first shutout in five years. Thiel, despite the loss, enjoyed a 324-211 advantage in total yards. Junior QB Daryl Moore was 7-for-21 passing for 111 yards, and he also rushed for 21 yards in 13 carries. Senior TB Justin Napotnik (Sharpsville) rushed for 69 yards in 12 carries, while junior FB Justin Kuban ran for 22 yards in eight carries and 1 TD. Sophomore TE Dane Haskins had four pass catches for 78 yards and 1 TD. Junior MLB Robert Drake (Chaney) had a season-high 11 tackles. In Waynesburg's win, freshman RB Ryan Abeis scored a school-record 5 rushing touchdowns. He rushed for a career-high 150 yards in 22 carries. Abeis is the third freshman to rush for over 100 yards this season for the Yellow Jackets, joining Denis Gearhart and Eric Daniels. QB Jeff Dumm had 147 yards passing, and needs just 7 more to reach the 1,000-yard mark. Senior DE Brandon Doppelheuer was the defensive leader with 10 tackles.
GROVE CITY (3-2, 2-0 PAC)vs. WASH. & amp; JEFFERSON (4-0, 2-0)

Scouting report: W & amp;J jolted Westminster last Saturday, 26-17, to become the second team in NCAA Division III history to record 600 wins, while Grove City edged Thiel, 16-15, to regain the Mercer County Cup. W & amp;J and Grove City will battle for first place in the PAC. W & amp;J holds a 26-12 lead in the series. The Presidents are riding a streak of 22 straight PAC wins. Grove City was the last PAC team to beat the Presidents, 31-7, in 1998. Sophomore QB Chris Edwards led W & amp;J with 19-for-32 passing for 244 yards and 3 TDs. Junior RB Matt Bettinazzi rushed for 71 yards in 20 carries, while sophomore TE Aaron Krepps had 108 all-purpose yards, and Eric Field had a game-high 12 tackles. Grove City beat Thiel on Gene Iannuzzi's TD return of a blocked punt with 1:53 to go. SS Dan Solomon had two sacks. HB Adam Wargo had a career-high 86 rushing yards and Dave DiDonato caught four passes.
WALSH (4-1, 1-0 MSFA MIDEAST)vs. QUINCY (3-3, 1-0)

Last year: This is the first meeting.
Scouting report: Walsh outlasted Malone in five overtimes last Saturday, 44-36, in the longest game in Cavaliers' history. Walsh beat Malone for the fifth straight time, and retained the Dick Gallagher Memorial Trophy. Quincy is coming off a 77-21 romp past Taylor. Derek Besgrove scored five TDs and ran the ball 51 times -- both Walsh records -- against Malone. He scored three of his TDs in overtime, including the game-winning TD in the fifth OT; and finished with 223 yards rushing. Besgrove has 935 rushing yards and 14 TDs this season. Quincy got all 77 of its points in the first three quarters, and wound up with 692 total yards, including 495 on the ground. LeVar Ammons rushed for 178 yards and was one of three players over 100 yards. QB Dan Riley passed for 241 yards on 10-for-17 and four TDs.
MALONE (1-3, 0-1 MSFA MIDEAST)vs. GENEVA (2-2, 0-1)

Scouting report: In the loss to Walsh, Malone QB Eric Rector threw for 163 yards on 22-for-49 and 1 TD with 1 interception, before being injured and leaving the game in the fourth overtime. Sean Knight rushed for 137 yards in 33 carries and one TD, while Nyrell Knight caught five passes for 50 yards. Jeremy Riniger kicked a record-tying three field goals (45, 27 and 49 yards) for the second game in a row. On defense, LB Jason Kennedy had 14 tackles; Mitch Fusek (Canfield) recovered a fumble, forced a fumble, intercepted a pass and deflected a pass, and Mike Swanson (East Liverpool) had a sack. Geneva lost at St. Francis (Ind.) last week, 49-16. QB Ben Swallow (West Branch) was 10-for-21 for 87 yards with 2 interceptions, while RB Brandon Nathan rushed for 66 yards in 24 carries and WR Matt Nowaczynski caught 5 passes for 75 yards and 1 TD. LB Brian Hall led the defense with 13 tackles.
SLIPPERY ROCK (1-4, 0-1 PSAC WEST)
vs. SHIPPENSBURG (4-1, 1-0)
When: 2 p.m.
Where: DiSpirito Field at Thompson Stadium, Slippery Rock, Pa.
Last year: Shippensburg 13, Slippery Rock 7 (OT).
Scouting report: Slippery Rock was outlasted by California (Pa.) in overtime last week, 22-19, while Shippensburg posted a 40-34 win over Edinboro. Brian Godfrey, a red-shirt junior nose guard for Slippery Rock, registered three QB sacks against California to become the third player in school history to get three sacks in one game. He finished the game with four tackles for losses and one fumble recovery, and was named PSAC-Western Division "Defensive Player of the Week." John Katsaouni, a senior placekicker for The Rock, kicked a school-record four field goals. He now is 8-for-9 this season, his longest being a 48-yard connection against California. Shippensburg beat Edinboro on Rick Henshaw's TD pass to Patrick Ferguson with 59 seconds left. John Kuhn scored four TDs for Shippensburg on short-yardage runs. He has rushed for 656 yards in 128 attempts and nine TDs this season. Henshaw is 51-for-97 passing for 688 yards with five interceptions.
