BENEFIT Foundation to sponsor holiday craft workshop



Proceeds will benefit families with babies born with fragile conditions.
BOARDMAN -- A holiday "Make It -- Take It" craft workshop will be sponsored by the Touched by Nathan Foundation from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at St. Luke Church Hall, 5235 South Ave.
Those participating will have an opportunity to make any of more than 20 craft items, each requiring 20 minutes or less to create, and to take the items home with them. Each item has its own fee.
There will also be a snack bar and bake shop.
Admission to the workshop is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 16. Proceeds will benefit the foundation.
The organization
The foundation was formed in 1991 in memory of Nathan Pavalko by his parents.
The nonprofit organization provides education for parents and families in the Mahoning Valley regarding special care of babies born with fragile conditions and for parents coping with the loss of an infant. It also provides other programs and services for the families, such as transportation or referrals to other professional groups.
