XYOUNGSTOWN -- A honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic followed the Sept. 13 wedding of Sheri Barnes, 180 N. Edgehill Ave., Austintown, and Jeffery Pluchinsky, 230 Clingan Road, Struthers, at Zion Lutheran Church.
The couple were married by the Rev. Dale Giffin during a 2 p.m. ceremony, and later were honored during a reception at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall.
Parents of the bride are Gary and Diana Barnes of the Austintown address. The groom is a son of James Pluchinsky, Judith Avenue, Struthers, and the late Nancy Pluchinsky.
A certified medical dosimetrist, Mrs. Pluchinsky is employed at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Pluchinsky is an assembler at General Motors Corp., Lordstown.
Swarovski crystals, pearl sequins and ice seed beads adorned the bride's candlelight satin gown.
Honor attendant was Sara Pitt. Bridesmaids were Rosanna Pluchinsky, Sandra Barnes, Francine Rekstis, Dr. Richelle Keleman and Christine Gwin. They wore celadon-colored dresses. Junior attendants were Mackinzee Barnes and Ashley Pluchinsky, and flower girl was Madison Rekstis.
James Pluchinsky performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were John Pluchinsky, Gary Barnes Jr., Michael Rekstis, Chris Keleman and Michael Gordon. Junior groomsmen were Brandon Pluchinsky and James Pluchinsky Jr., and ring bearer was Michael Rekstis. Ushers were Tim Bednar and John Korhely.
