PREP VOLLEYBALL Lakeview clinches TAC outright
Poland inched closer to a share of the MAC title with a win over rival Canfield.
CORTLAND -- Whitney Keyser sparked Lakeview High with eight kills, a block, 12 points and three aces, as the Bulldogs clinched the outright Trumbull Athletic Conference volleyball championship Tuesday.
Megan Taylor had six kills and 12 assists for Lakeview (20-1, 13-0 TAC).
Mary Massaro led the Leopards (9-11, 5-8) with six points and nine assists.
Champion 15-15, LaBrae 1-11
CHAMPION -- Velda Morrison had five aces and 10 points while Kelly Meyer had seven assists for Champion (10-8, 5-8 TAC).
For the Vikings (2-19, 1-12), Laura Bates had two assists while Maddie D'Orio had a block and three kills.
Girard 15-15, Newton Falls 6-8
NEWTON FALLS -- Kristen Ragozine led the Indians with eight points and two aces. Courtney Madden had eight kills for Girard (13-8, 9-4 TAC).
For the Tigers (3-13, 1-12), Ashley Hall had six kills while Cathy Hardman had six points and seven assists.
Hubbard 15-15, Brookfield 1-6
HUBBARD -- Felicia Resatar led the Eagles (18-3, 11-2 TAC) with 16 points and three aces. Diana Conzett had 12 kills and Traci Hassell had seven blocks, 12 assists and eight digs.
Laura Klouse led the Warriors (12-8, 7-6) with three kills and two blocks. Rachel Pasquerilla had six assists and five digs.
Ursuline 15-15, Wilson 7-6
YOUNGSTOWN -- Staci Ziobert recorded 12 points with four aces while Alessandra Parry had four kills and eight points for the Irish (5-11).
Dominque Price scored six points and Ranesa Griffin added seven spikes and two blocks for Wilson.

AUSTINTOWN -- Maggie Case collected seven points, six kills, two blocks and 18 digs for the Falcons.
Jessica Evans added seven points, four kills, five digs and two aces while Jenn Drabison had six points, five kills and seven blocks.

CANFIELD -- Megan Mulligan sparked the Bulldogs (18-3, 10-1 Metro Athletic Conference) with seven points, 10 kills, one ace, nine digs and five blocks.
Stef Graf had seven kills, nine digs and three blocks.
Ginny Naples led the Cardinals (2-12, 6-6) with five points, five assists, two blocks and two digs.
Lindsay Owen had seven points, two aces, two kills and three blocks. Stephanie Jarvis had four kills and six blocks.
Alliance 15-15, Howland 9-12
HOWLAND -- Kellianne Tucker had eight points, five aces, three kills, 15 assists, two digs for Alliance (11-9, 5-5 MAC). Jan Kehres added four points, 11 kills and three digs and Melanie Oyster had five points and four digs.
Jamie Kelly had four points, three aces, 12 kills, one assist, four blocks, four digs and one save for Howland (14-7, 5-6). Brittany Kelly had three points, two aces, three kills, 16 assists, three blocks and four digs, and Julie Griffin added five points, one ace, three kills, one assist and one dig.

STRUTHERS -- Kelli Ciminero had 15 kills, Erin Swift had six digs and Shannon Floyd had 13 assists for Niles.
Stephanie Monus had seven kills and Teresa Varsin had 25 digs for the Wildcats (1-9 MAC).

MINERAL RIDGE -- Robin Zimmerman had nine points while Jenna Hunks added two aces, three kills, three blocks and three assists for the Rams (9-9, 6-6 Inter-County League).
Rachel Siler also collected three kills and three blocks.
For the Mustangs (3-13, 1-11), Jenna Manz had a point and nine assists while Tara Ford had seven kills and a block.

COLUMBIANA -- Stacy McCall had four digs for the Rebels (13-6, 9-4 Tri-County League).
Lindsay Sapp had 16 assists and Katie Kibby had six kills and five blocks for Crestview.

SEBRING -- Lauren Krebs paced the Bulldogs (8-10, 7-6 TCL) with nine points and six kills. Stephanie Foster had nine kills and five blocks.
Amy Bruney led the Trojans (6-11, 4-9) with seven points, one ace, two kills and four digs.
Alicia Seidel had six points, one ace and two kills.

BELOIT -- Ashley Armstrong had 19 passes, five kills and eight assists for the Warriors (13-8).
Kate Bailey added a point and three passes while Amanda Bailey had seven points, a save, seven kills and three blocks.

KINSMAN -- Alycia Israel recorded 11 points, four aces and 16 assists for Lordstown (19-2).
