CORTLAND 2 men hospitalized after falling off roof

CORTLAND -- Two men were hospitalized after falling from a house roof they were repairing at 126 Emerald Lane at noon Tuesday.
The men -- one in his mid-20s and the other about 70 -- tumbled 15 feet down a sloping roof and then an additional 12 feet to a concrete driveway, said Fire Capt. Rich Guzan.
The younger man was in critical condition this morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
The older man went to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
Apparently, the older man slipped and began to fall, and the younger one tried to grab him before both men fell, Guzan said.
Guzan declined to identify the two men but said neither man's injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
