Summary of recent police activity for Boardman and Poland:
BOARDMAN
Sept. 29
Criminal damage: A vehicle's dashboard and driver's-side and passenger-side door locks were damaged in the 70 block of Lemans Drive.
Criminal damage: Someone caused about $250 in damage to a car's passenger-side window and door in the 70 block of Lemans Drive.
Theft: Someone removed 18 sections of scaffolding and 20 screw jacks from a construction site in the 7200 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: Two magnetic business signs were taken from a truck parked at Pet Supplies Plus, 411 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Drugs: Employees at Days Inn, 1051 Tiffany Boulevard, found a bag of suspected marijuana in one of the rooms.
Theft: Police arrested a 31-year-old Warren woman on a theft charge after 12 pieces of women's clothing were stolen from Dillard's in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A student at Boardman High School reported her purse and miscellaneous makeup stolen from a locker room.
Arrest: A 17-year-old Youngstown boy was charged with complicity to theft and grand theft auto after a man in the 20 block of Meadowbrook Avenue reported his 1990 Ford Tempo stolen. The car was found in the Med-Mar Professional Building parking lot, 5701 Market St.
Arrest: Police arrested a 25-year-old Boardman man at the Mahoning County jail on charges of misuse of a credit card, forgery and receiving stolen property after a Glendale Avenue woman reported someone made a $78.84 purchase on her credit card without permission.
Theft: A cigarette lighter was stolen from a Shell True North gas station, 5135 Market St.
Theft: A man in his 20s stole four pairs of tennis shoes from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Shields Road reported a bedroom set, a living-room set and a TV stolen from his apartment.
Assault: A woman reported that someone assaulted her daughter, 16, outside their residence in the 8400 block of South Avenue. The girl had swelling on both sides of her head, both hands and right elbow, as well as a small cut on her left hand.
Drugs: During a traffic stop in the 300 block of Boardman-Canfield Road, police arrested an 18-year-old Boardman man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse. Officers say they found a suspected marijuana pipe inside a nylon bag.
Sept. 30
Arrest: A 29-year-old Boardman man was arrested on Market Street on a warrant charging him with forgery after a Hopkins Road woman reported that seven checks totaling $589 were stolen from her home.
Theft: A woman reported that her purse containing $150 and seven credit cards was stolen from the Cochran Sparkle Market parking lot, 4121 South Ave.
Auto theft: An employee at Sapphire Auto Sales, 725 E. Midlothian Boulevard, discovered a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis missing from the lot.
Theft: A woman in the 400 block of Afton Avenue reported a plastic witch Halloween decoration, a fall wreath, a wooden wishing well, two plastic gravestones and a wooden pumpkin taken from her front yard.
Theft: A Youngstown Buick employee reported a van broken into and a built-in TV damaged. A DVD player and a subwoofer were missing.
Theft: A man in his 20s stole a pair of hiking boots from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A rear license plate was removed from a vehicle at Sapphire Auto Sales.
Auto theft: A 2002 Chevy Cavalier was stolen from the Outback Steakhouse parking lot, 7000 Tiffany Boulevard.
Criminal damage: A woman reported about $700 in damage to her vehicle's passenger-side door while the car was parked at Buick Youngstown.
Theft: A woman in the 200 block of Afton Avenue reported a Pittsburgh Steelers flag, a Steelers helmet and a flagpole stolen from her yard.
Criminal damage: A woman discovered about $500 in damage to her vehicle after someone sprayed paint on its passenger-side front and rear doors while the car was at the Southern Park Mall.
Oct. 1
Theft: A Gardenwood Drive couple alleged a man, 25, cashed several checks totaling $1,510.43 using their checking account at National City Bank in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A wristwatch, a compact mirror, a purse and $8 were taken from a locker room at Boardman High School.
Theft: Police charged a girl, 16, and a woman, 18, both from Youngstown, with theft after a pair of socks and a clothing item were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Burglary: Police arrested a 47-year-old Youngstown man at a residence in the 5100 block of Allen Drive on a burglary charge after a woman reported that someone entered her apartment by breaking a side door window.
Criminal damage: Someone caused about $500 in damage to a vehicle's paint in the 90 block of Washington Boulevard.
Oct. 2
Arrest: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man near Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard on a theft charge.
Theft: A woman in the 700 block of Glen Park Road reported two money orders, a birth certificate, a Social Security card and a $497 Social Security check removed from her residence.
Vandalism: Someone caused $600 in damage to a vehicle while it was at Redlich Transmissions, 8091 Market St.
Theft: Police arrested two Boardman girls, 14 and 16, at Boardman High School and charged them with theft after four hooded sweatshirts, three T-shirts, a purse, $7 and a wristwatch were stolen from several school lockers.
Theft: A portable compact-disc player, 25 CDs and a cellular phone were missing from a vehicle parked in the 5600 block of Tracy Drive.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from Radio Shack, 7131 Tiffany Boulevard.
Burglary: Someone stole a $300 mountain bike after cutting a screen door and breaking into a garage in the 5500 block of Tracy Drive.
Theft: A $1,700 dirt bike was stolen from a garage in the 8200 block of Pine Hill Drive.
Auto theft: A 1988 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Theft: An undetermined number of tools was stolen from Big Lots, 7110 South Ave.
Criminal damage: A vehicle in the 300 block of McClurg Road had $2,000 in paint damage.
Auto theft: A 1997 Chrysler Sebring JX was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Drugs: After a traffic stop near Southern Boulevard and Indianola Road, a 37-year-old Youngstown man was charged with felony drug abuse after police say they found two small bags of suspected cocaine in the vehicle. He also was charged with having expired license plates and no operator's license.
Oct. 3
Theft: Someone stole two boxes of laundry detergent from a garage in the 7300 block of Eisenhower Drive.
Criminal damage: A woman discovered that someone knocked the passenger-side mirror off her vehicle while it was parked at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: A padlock and door bracket were damaged at the Hampton Inn, 7395 Tiffany Boulevard.
Criminal damage: A vehicle headlight assembly and hood latch assembly were damaged while the car was parked at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: A Brookfield Avenue woman alleged a female student assaulted her daughter, 14, at Boardman High School. The girl had swelling on the back of her head.
Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old Boardman man on a theft charge after a pack of cigarettes was stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Drugs: After checking the welfare of a person inside a vehicle at Stanton Electric, 7870 Southern Boulevard, police arrested a 28-year-old Lowellville man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and felony drug abuse. Officers said they found two suspected crack pipes, several rocks of suspected crack cocaine, a small bag of suspected marijuana and other suspected drug paraphernalia.
Theft: Police arrested two 12-year-old Poland boys on theft charges after two pairs of roller skates were taken from the Skate Connection, 7080 Tiffany Boulevard.
Arrest: A 30-year-old Boardman man was arrested near Melrose Avenue and Erie Street on charges of burglary and criminal trespass after a Leighton Avenue woman reported that someone entered her residence without permission.
Burglary: A 17-year-old Boardman boy was arrested on a burglary charge after a man in the 5800 block of Rosewood Drive reported that someone took a $400 bicycle from his garage.
Arrests: After investigating a traffic accident near Southern Boulevard and U.S. Route 224, police arrested three Boardman boys, two age 17 and one age 15. All three were charged with obstructing official business; one boy also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and underage possession of tobacco.
Oct. 4
Arrest: A 23-year-old Poland man was arrested near Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard on a forgery charge.
Arrest: Police arrested a 28-year-old man at his Moyer Avenue apartment on two counts of passing bad checks.
Arrest: After investigating a report of a suspicious person in the 7400 block of West Boulevard, police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on two counts of grand theft auto, two counts of theft and one count of criminal trespass. Two township residents reported their cars stolen from their driveways, and the vehicles were recovered.
Theft: A $600 water fountain ornament was removed from a yard in the 8000 block of Deer Path Drive.
Criminal damage: A man in the 8500 block of Reserve Drive discovered his mailbox damaged.
Robbery: Police arrested a 24-year-old Corona, N.Y., man on a robbery charge after an employee at Sears in the Southern Park Mall alleged the suspect punched him in the head and fled after a theft. Ten pairs of jeans, a shirt, eight items of baby clothing and seven bottles of cologne were stolen.
Theft: Police arrested two 13-year-old Youngstown girls on theft charges after clothing was stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A 19-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with theft after a pair of jeans was taken from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 51, was arrested in the First Place Bank parking lot and charged with possession of drugs after police say they found him possessing suspected crack cocaine.
Criminal mischief: A Salem man reported that a man in his 20s damaged his vehicle's driver's-side mirror and threatened him while they were stopped in traffic in the 400 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A woman reported her purse stolen from the Cochran Sparkle Market parking lot.
Oct. 5
Assault: A man alleged that a 24-year-old man assaulted him in a bedroom at the victim's residence in the 100 block of Harrow Lane.
Theft: A woman in the 3900 block of Sunset Boulevard reported that her vehicle was removed from her driveway and damaged in an accident.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 29-year-old man at his Terrace Drive residence on two counts of domestic violence after a woman reported her sons were injured at the residence. One victim had cuts on the back of his right hand and an abrasion on his right elbow.
Theft: A 17-year-old New Castle, Pa., girl was charged with theft after two pairs of boots and a pair of shoes were stolen from Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road. She also was charged with possession of tobacco and possession of marijuana.
Criminal damage: A woman discovered her vehicle's right front tire damaged in the 7400 block of West Boulevard.
Burglary: A man in the 1300 block of Valley View Drive discovered his residence broken into and a roll of postage stamps, $650 in cash, 15 DVDs, two men's wristwatches, a women's wristwatch and three women's rings stolen.
Criminal mischief: Someone tossed eggs at a vehicle in the 3200 block of Straley Avenue.
POLAND
Sept. 28
Criminal damage: A man who lives in the 2900 block of Thunderbird Drive reported his vehicle's gas cover missing and the passenger-side mirror shattered while he visited a friend on Cortland Street.
Sept. 29
Theft: A $500 golf club was reported missing from a Poland Manor residence.
Sept. 30
Theft: An employee at Sylvia's of Poland, 215 S. Main St., discovered a 11/2-foot-tall steel bell missing.
Drugs: After responding to two suspicious juveniles at the Poland Union Elementary School playground, 30 Riverside Drive, police cited a Poland boy, 14, on charges of drug abuse (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia; another boy, 14, was cited on a charge of possession of a tobacco product.
Oct. 3
Burglary: A woman in the 100 block of Cover Drive reported that someone broke into her residence through a rear door and stole a set of car keys from the kitchen, $50 to $100 and a document from a dresser drawer.
