Trustees meeting
The Brookfield Township trustees handled these matters at their Monday night meeting. The trustees:
Informed residents that the Trumbull County Health Department will administer flu vaccines to senior citizens at the township administrative building from 8:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 7. The cost is $10. If you bring your Medicare B card, the flu shot is free.
Announced that Time Warner Cable, the township's cable television provider, is making changes in its digital tier lineup. The cost for digital basic cable with no premiums service will increase from $13.95 a month to $17.91 a month. Digital basic cable with one premium service will increase from $19.95 to $27.90 a month. Prices also will increase for other digital services. Beginning Thursday, Time Warner will add NBA TV to position 159 as part of the digital sports tier. On Oct. 15, two channels will be added to digital tier expanded basic. Game Show channel will be moved from position 105 to position 62 on digital tier. The Inspiration Network will be placed at position number 71.
Announced there will be a public auction at 10 a.m. Saturday at the administration building. Items will be available for viewing one hour before the auction.
Heard that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has determined the police department is eligible for $17,705 to be reimbursed for debris clearance, protective measures, road system repairs and building repairs.
Announced that there will be a meeting on streetlighting at the township building Oct. 14.
