Dominion East Ohio seeksnominees to get grants
YOUNGSTOWN -- Dominion East Ohio is seeking local projects that have promoted the economic or social revitalization of communities for its ninth annual Community Impact Awards competition. A total of $60,000 in grants will be awarded.
Entries must be submitted by Nov. 3 to Inside Business Magazine, 1422 Euclid Ave., #730, Cleveland 44115. Entries should be no more than three typewritten pages and should describe the project and its impact. Other materials, such as press clippings and literature, should be submitted in a three-ring binder.
The project must have been completed between July 2002 and August 2003 and have been located within the utility's service area. Organizations must be nonprofit or have an eligible fiscal agent.
Comair contract issues
ERLANGER, Ky. -- Regional carrier Comair wants to reopen labor contracts with its pilot and flight attendant unions to negotiate pay cuts. It's been nearly 21/2 years since the carrier's pilots went on a three-month strike that ended with a contract that made them the highest-paid in the regional carrier industry.
