NORTH LIMA -- The South Range Board of Education has changed its regular meeting from Oct. 20 to Oct. 13.
The meeting will be at the middle school, 7600 W. South Range Road, Greenford, at 7:30 p.m.
Inmates have infection
LISBON -- Three Columbiana County Jail inmates are in isolation in the jail infirmary because of a staph infection.
Warden Hank Escola said apparently one of the inmates who arrived about two weeks ago had the infection before being jailed. Escola said authorities don't believe the other two inmates had contact with the first.
The jail has been sanitized with a bleach solution, and doctors assigned to the jail are monitoring the situation, Escola said.
Pharmacy robbed
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Police are looking for a man who robbed the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Main Street.
Police said the man approached the pharmacist at 4:28 p.m. Saturday and demanded OxyContin. The man had his hand in his coat pocket and it appeared he had a knife, police said.
The man then left in a beige or white sport utility vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Greenville/West Salem police.
'Potato gun' damage; Wendy's vandalized
SALEM -- Police reported someone damaged a Seventh Street home by shooting potatoes at it with a "potato gun." There were several potatoes on the back roof and damage to the house. A police spokesman said potato guns are homemade devices consisting of a tube and a detonator.
Police said the manager who opened Wendy's at 6 a.m. Saturday discovered someone had thrown a large brick through one of the large windows at the west side of the restaurant. The restaurant is at 2388 East State St. The manager said the vandalism occurred after 1:40 a.m. There was no sign of entry and no damage estimate.
Seminar about ponds
CANFIELD -- A free seminar for pond owners will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm on state Route 46 across from the Canfield Fairgrounds.
Advice will be presented on pond construction, weed control, wildlife issues, stocking ponds with fish and other pond-related topics. The seminar is presented by Mahoning County Soil and Water Conservation District in cooperation with Mill Creek MetroParks.

Rabies vaccination clinics
The Mahoning County District Board of Health is offering pet rabies vaccination clinics for dogs, cats and ferrets.
Rabies vaccinations of all dogs, cats and ferrets over 3 months old is required in Mahoning County. No appointment is necessary, but dogs must be under leash, and cats should be caged or carried in a cloth pillowcase. The cost is $2 per shot.
The clinics are from 1 to 4 p.m. at these locations: Saturday, Struthers Police Department; Oct. 18, Berlin Fire Hall, state Routes 224 and 534; and Oct. 25, Angels for Animals, 4750 state Route 165, Beaver Township.
Grant Center programscheduled at library
YOUNGSTOWN -- Reservations are being taken for "Getting Started with FC Search," a Grant Center program scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County's Main Library Meeting Room, 305 Wick Ave.
The program is an introductory session for those wishing to learn FC Search, the Foundation Center's Database on CD-ROM. This database is available in the Grant Center, which is part of the Information Services Department at Main Library. Grant Center programs are free and open to representatives from nonprofit organizations seeking information on funding sources and fund raising.

Drug overdose suspected
YOUNGSTOWN -- James Omarrah, 27, of Fairlawn Avenue, Hubbard, was found dead behind the wheel of a truck parked in the Speed Check parking lot on Albert Street about 5 p.m. Sunday, apparently the victim of an overdose, police said.
Police said they found evidence of drug abuse in the truck, including a syringe and suspected heroin. The cause of death will be determined by the Mahoning County Coroner's office.
