XSTRUTHERS -- Scott Johnson and his bride, the former Leslie Gettan, honeymooned in Jamaica after their wedding at noon Aug. 23 at St. Nicholas Church.
The Rev. Phillip Rogers presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Jerry and Janie Gettan, 16015 Berlin Station Road, Berlin Center, and the son of Dennis and Kim Johnson, 135 Smithfield St., Struthers.
A reception was held afterward at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
The strapless, ivory A-line gown worn by the bride was enhanced with rum-pink embroidery.
Victorian lilac gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Jessica Gettan, and the bridesmaids, Kaitlyn Opritza and Jill Colaneri, cousins of the groom; Kelly McCabe; Nikki Ruozzo; Missy Daley; and Jesi Crane. Flower girl was the bride's godchild, Emma McCabe.
Nick Johnson served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Mike Gettan, the bride's brother; Greg Rusu; Dustin Rubosky; Mark Gentile; Jim White; and the groom's cousin, Mike Colaneri. Ring bearer was Mason McCurdy, the bride's cousin.
The bride and groom graduated from Youngstown State University with bachelor's degrees, hers in business management and his in applied science. Mrs. Johnson is a manager with Belleria in Poland, and her husband is self-employed at The Driveway Kings in Poland.
