CANFIELD -- Loghurst, 3967 Boardman-Canfield Road (U.S. Route 224), a property of the Western Reserve Historical Society, is presenting a Civil War Encampment from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Step back in time and walk through a Civil War soldiers camp; witness maneuvers, battles and ongoing living history.
Enjoy period games and music. Dress up as a Confederate or Union soldier and take a photo. Enjoy special Civil War lectures, live dulcimer music, blacksmithing demonstrations and a Civil War quilting display and presentation throughout the weekend.
Also, tour Loghurst, the oldest log cabin in Northeast Ohio, built in 1805.
Regular Loghurst admission of $4 for adults and $3 for students and seniors applies.
