SLIPPERY ROCK UNIVERSITY Homecoming events to fill next weekend

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Slippery Rock University will conduct its "Hollywood Homecoming" next weekend. Major events:
UPep rally, including fireworks, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday outside the university library, where the football team will be introduced; the homecoming king and queen will be crowned; and the marching band and cheerleaders will perform.
U10 a.m. Saturday, pre-game parade along Stadium Drive from the physical therapy building to the stadium.
U11 a.m. Saturday, cross-country open, with the women's soccer team taking on Kutztown University at noon and the men's team playing Kutztown at 2 p.m.
U11:30 a.m. Saturday, alumni tailgate party at the university ski lodge, with tickets selling for $10, including lunch and entertainment.
U2 p.m. Saturday, football game against Shippensburg University on the newly renovated Bob DiSpirito Field in N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
UDeans' welcome event immediately after the football game in the alumni picnic pavilion; $5 admission charge.
U8 p.m. Saturday, women's soccer alumni reception in the alumni house; $5 charge.
