ASSOCIATIONS
XAlliance Area Retired Teachers Association will meet for lunch at noon Oct. 17 at the YWCA in Alliance. John Milhoan will give a program on "Health Care Issues." Reservations must be made by Friday to AARTA, Jean Cowan, 233 Laramie St., Alliance, Ohio 44601, or call (330) 823-6216.
XTrumbull Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Oct. 14 at G's Golden Gate Restaurant, Warren. Reservations are to be made by Thursday by sending a check for $7.50 to Ruby Hawkins, 3375 Greenfield N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485. The speaker will be Damon Asbury. Prior to the meeting professionals from the Center for Hearing Care will offer ear examinations. Members are asked to take clean, usable clothing to the meeting for the Poorest of the Poor project. The executive board will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue, Warren, and a mailing meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 18 at the church.
AUXILIARIES
XAuxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will meet at 8 p.m. Oct. 14 at the post.
CLUBS
XMonday Book Review Club will meet at noon Oct. 13 at the Youngstown Club. Roy McDaniel, a representative of Mahoning Historical Society, will present a program, "Dolls: Their Story." Hostesses will be Dorothy Demen, Ruth Froom and Dorothy Honey. Dues will be accepted.
XTrumbull County Farm Bureau Young Agriculturists will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Times Square in Kinsman.
XYoungstown Women's Connection will sponsor a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 14 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre in Youngstown. On the program will be Marty Campana, Rose Britner and Heather Johnston. The theme will be "A Christmas Affair." Tickets are $6.50, and reservations may be made by calling (330) 538-2705 or (330) 793-6381. A free nursery by reservation also will be available. Cancellations must be made by Oct. 13.
SINGLES
XA Christian Singles social is planned for 7 p.m. Oct. 11 in the downstairs meeting room at McDonald's in Canfield. All ages and their children are welcome.
SOCIETIES
XYoungstown Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants will meet at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at Bruno's Restaurant in Poland. Elizabeth Russo, audit manager with the Ohio Department of Taxation, will speak on House Bill 95. Her presentation will qualify for one hour of continuing professional education in taxation for enrolled agents and accounting professionals. Reservations are required by Thursday, and cost is $10. XADD/ADHD Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at the YWCA of Youngstown, 25 W. Rayen Ave. Guest speaker will be Tina White of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
