BENEFIT Fund-raiser for MS set for Oct. 18



YOUNGSTOWN -- The first Multiple Sclerosis Fall Bike-Skate-Walk event will be held Oct. 18 at Mill Creek Park Bikeway.
The activity will get under way at 9 a.m. at McMahon Hall with registration and refreshments.
Participants may select how they wish to travel along the trail, which features mileage markers. The trail also is regularly patrolled by Mill Creek Park police and bike patrol volunteers.
Upon returning to McMahon Hall, participants may have a light lunch.
Event details
Participants who raise $60 or more will receive a T-shirt, and those raising $100 or more will receive a specially designed sweatshirt. First-place prize of a $100 gift certificate will go to the person raising the most money. Second place will be awarded a portable CD player.
Proceeds benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency, an independent nonprofit agency not affiliated with any national organization. The agency provides services and programs for more than 900 men and women with MS in the three-county area.
