The American Red Cross, Trumbull County Chapter: Provides emergency services and disaster relief, services to military families, international tracing services, free medical transportation, selected medical equipment and screenings, and multifaceted health and safety programs in first aid, CPR, water safety, and HIV/AIDS education.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Mahoning Valley: Provides adult and young-adult volunteer role models to at-risk children, ages 7-15, mentoring youth in need of friendship, guidance and fun.
Boy Scouts, Greater Western Reserve Council: Provides dynamic programs, based on traditional family values, to build character, citizenship and fitness: scouting experiences for boys, ages 6-18, Exploring and Venturing programs for coed youth ages 14-21, in-school Learning for Life program for all youth, grades K-12, and summer day and resident camps.
Camp Fire USA, Northeastern Ohio Council: Provides self-reliance, decision-making and leadership development for youth, ages 2-18, through a variety of learn-serve activities in family club, outdoor environmental, and school-based programs.
Catholic Charities Regional Agency: Provides programs designed to preserve and strengthen families: family and individual counseling, student counseling in conflict and peer mediation, grief counseling, housing counseling, senior support services, day care and before/after school care, adoption/crisis pregnancy services, and emergency financial assistance.
Children's Rehabilitation Center: Provides pediatric outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language therapy, counseling, medical consultation, preschool and day-care programs.
Community Solutions Association: Provides comprehensive programs to strengthen and improve the well-being of children, adults and families. Services include: individual and family counseling, outpatient center for the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction, a variety of support groups, prevention and community education services, and CONTACT -- a 24-hour information/crisis hot line.
Girl Scouts of Lake to River Council: Provides programs that inspire girls with the highest ideals of character conduct, patriotism and service, so that they may become happy and resourceful citizens. Girls, ages 5-17, participate in activities to stimulate self-awareness, social development, friendship and leadership skills.
Goodwill Industries Inc.: Provides vocational rehabilitation, skill training, placement, and job services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment, amblyopia testing and radio reading for the blind and visually impaired.
Niles Community Services: Provides emergency services for food, medications, utilities, clothing and shelter; information and referral services. Service areas include Niles, Mineral Ridge and Weathersfield Township.
Northeast Ohio Legal Services: Provides free legal services for primarily low-income clients with civil (noncriminal, nontraffic) legal problems, including tenant rights, public assistance, Medicaid/Medicare, domestic violence, discrimination and other issues.
Rebecca Williams Community Center: Provides programs, including day care for infants and toddlers, preschool and after-school activities, computer training, mentoring, family education and support, GED and business classes, elementary basketball, recreation and summer day camp -- all of which stress responsible decision-making.
Salvation Army, Warren Corps: Provides emergency assistance -- food, shelter, medical prescriptions and utilities, community disaster services, educational, recreational, and social development programs for all ages, and a mental health drop-in center.
SCOPE Inc. of Trumbull County: Provides extensive elderly services including health assessment and treatments, telephone reassurance and friendly visitations, outreach, education, recreation and socialization. SCOPE also offers chore and home repairs, homemaker, personal care and other supportive programs, as well as an adult day-care program.
Someplace Safe Inc.: Provides comprehensive services to victims and families of domestic violence, including shelter, counseling, support groups, children's programs, legal/victim advocacy, crisis intervention, and community education and prevention.
Trumbull County Association for Retarded Citizens: Provides interaction among people with mental retardation and others, through advocacy, socialization and developmental programs. Summer programs promote social, physical and educational opportunities for mentally retarded and developmentally disabled children.
Trumbull Mobile Meals Inc.: Provides nutritious regular or modified-diet meals delivered to elderly and other homebound individuals, allowing them to remain self-sufficient.
Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice of Northeast Ohio: Provides, upon a physician's order, skilled nursing services in the home, as well as hospice care, physical and occupational therapies, medical-social services, speech pathology, and home health aide services. Medicare-certified for home care and hospice programs.
Warren-Trumbull Urban League: Provides programs that promote racial harmony and equality, including youth development, employment training, job referrals and placement, education, housing, crisis intervention, and emergency shelter.
YMCA of Trumbull County: Provides a wide variety of health and physical-fitness programs that develop self-esteem, positive values, leadership and social interaction -- building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
YWCA: Provides for the development and empowerment of women and girls and the elimination of racism through programs of leadership development, fitness, sports skills instruction, computer training and other educational enrichments, and holiday and summer day camp.
Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center: Provides comprehensive adult and pediatric speech/language and audiology services, hearing aids and assistive listening devices, sign language classes, interpreting, advocacy and other services for the deaf, as well as a regional infant hearing program.
