COLUMBUS -- The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has directed Central Columbiana & amp; Pennsylvania Railroad to install flashing lights and road gates at the following railroad crossings in Columbiana and Mahoning counties: State Route 517, near Columbiana; Crestview Road (Township Road 857), Fairfield Township; and Woodworth Road (state Route 626), Beaver Township. The PUCO didn't announce when the work would begin.

AUSTINTOWN -- The Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities is having an open house at its new Community Support Services facility at 130 Javit Court from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. The staff will lead tours.
