Orlando jubilee marked at Mass and dinner



XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Orlando of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by attending Mass Sept. 28 at St. Stanislaus Church, Youngstown, followed by a dinner at The Georgetown.
Hosting the event for family and friends were the honorees' daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Orlando and Jackie and Mike Giambattista, all of Canfield, and Judy Shirilla and Janice and Jack Cartwright, all of Boardman. The family circle includes eight grandchildren.
The former Genevieve Brak and Mr. Orlando were married Sept. 30, 1953, at St. Casimir Church in Youngstown.
Mr. and Mrs. Orlando are members of St. Stanislaus Church, where he is a reader and member of the finance committee.
Retiring in 1999, Mr. Orlando worked 50 years in the retail meat business. He was a meat supervisor for Sparkle Markets and a meat merchandiser with American Seaway Foods of Cleveland. Mr. Orlando served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mrs. Orlando, a homemaker, is a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild.
